Why Sheila Smith chose Green Lake
This property has been in our family for 5 generations. It was once the location of the famous House of Three Bears children camp back in the 1940's and 50's. We have held onto this amazing place and enjoy sharing it with vacationers to the area. Its rustic but modern comforts makes for a great place to stay with your family and friends. This is our only rental so we can offer extremely personal service to our visitors. Cant wait to see you!
What makes this Cabin unique
H3B provides private pier, 4000lb boat lift for regular hull & pontoons, and fish cleaning station. The lake front property has a sandy bottom for recreational swimming. One can enjoy an evening fire in the fire pit with the provided fire-wood, and coffee in the morning overlooking an amazing view of the lake. The cabin is homey, rustic, and pet friendly. It has 4 bedrooms with 2 full baths. There are two full size refrigerators to provide plenty of room for both food and beverages.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Rustic, family & pet friendly cabin, great little get away.
We really enjoyed our stay at House of Three Bears on Green Lake, WI. The cute rustic cabin, suited our family's needs nicely. Our 3 dogs enjoyed their time at the cabin too! Sheila's son, Adam was right there to help us with anything we needed. The only thing I would change would be adding protection on the metal posts on the dock. It was very windy & the wind kept slamming the boat on the metal posts. We were able to capture the boat on the lift, but not able to lift the boat as it wasn't rated for the weight of our boat, which we knew ahead of time. All in all, we had a great time with our adult kids & grandson and hope to return next year.
Thank u so much for staying with us. The boat lift holds boats up to 4000 pounds. 👍
Rustic charm, a true delight
The House of Three Bears was a rustic delight. We enjoyed our time and the view from the deck was amazing. We ate most of our meals on the deck. The owners, Sheila and Dan, were very helpful and accommodating. The house has windows everywhere and is open and airy. There are two refrigerators and they made food storage exceptional. Located at the end of the road, the house and parking area were secure. Stuff could be left at the house without concern of theft. Wifi worked great.
We enjoyed it and would book it again. Joe K
Rustic and quaint combined with comfort in a beautiful setting
Three of us (originally four but one cancelled at the last minute) 70+ year-olds guys back for our Ripon College 50th reunion in a rustic but very functional house which can hold up to 3 couples in separate bedrooms and four children in a bunk room. (If the 4th guy had come I would have slept in the bunk room. Plenty of room there.) The house sits high on a hill above Green Lake with a staircase down to a private pier where one can dangle a fishing line or tie up your boat. The Owners, Sheila and Dan Smith were excellent hosts who live next door but are unobtrusive and very helpful when needed. The setting was magic for us city dwellers at the end of a private road. Don't expect modern bathrooms or 5 star hotel-like luxury but everything works and, in a word, it was delightful.
A Great Vacation for All, Young and Old
We loved the house. The accommodations suited each one and there were ten of us from one year old to seventy, and a dog. The lake was fabulous!!! The kids and the young at heart were able to water-ski and tubing to their hearts content. In the evenings we enjoyed spending time together around the campfire. This vacation was exactly what we wanted. Thank you Sheila for making this possible for us.
This was the most relaxed vacation we have had in a long time! The H3B was perfect and Shelia was so easy to work with and welcomed us when we arrived. We fished, cooked out, laid on the dock, and enjoyed the lake on a rented pontoon boat from Johnson's Boats. I would recommend this home for anyone that loves the great outdoors. Super pet friendly! Thank you so much for sharing your families camp with visitors, it is beautiful!
awesome place to stay!
We stayed for a long weekend in early August, and had 10 people at the cabin. We found it very comfortable and clean. Dan and Sheila were very accommodating in recommending places to visit, where to fish, and making sure we had everything needed. The dock and boat lift were great, and we enjoyed fishing and swimming off the pier. I would definitely recommend the House of Three Bears again, and hope to visit in the future!
