Lovely little cottage; a classic
We are two adults. The cottage itself is really nice; not overdecorated, but with everything you need. (Although I do not know how a family of four can dry towels or change clothes or keep their stuff in this space; but they do!)
Our impression from the listing was that this was on the water, but it is over the road from the path to the beach, so you have to go out to get the views, which are lovely.
The pebbled area with chairs (and fire pit, which we did not use) is also lovely; sitting with one's back to the car, truck, and foot traffic (it's also the beach for two camps), one looks into a slope of trees, which were beautiful. It's a nice spot to de-sand on the way in, as well. Eating meals on the screenporch was delightful.
However, we found that on the weekend the traffic on this little unpaved dead-end road was a lot and very noisy. Neighbours (or their guests) used an ATV with a trailer to launch their jet-ski from the beach, and two ATVs to bring it back up. This tore the path up so badly that I could no longer get to the beach. Though we had hoped to stay in place for the week, we drove to Kincardine for beaches after that.
The sound of the waves is audible all day and night, and that is soothing and beautiful.
