Why Elizabeth Dorn chose Frye Island
This lake front home was purchase by us because of the need to have our large family in one home. We understand the need for family reunions or just wanting to get the entire family together for a week under one roof.
What makes this House unique
This property is located on Frye island in Sebago Lake which is the second largest lake in the state of Maine. The lake connects through Brandy Pond and the Songo River to Long Lake. There is an 9 hole golf course as well as a public pool on the island.

Great place for a corporate retreat
We had a corporate retreat and this was a wonderful venue. Big Beautiful home located in a perfect setting.
A resort-like home on a gorgeous island!
This home is amazing! The layout was perfect for our family. The home had everything we needed and more...it was beautifully furnished and included so many amenities. The kitchen easily accommodated our group of 20, there were more then enough pots, pan, plates, glassware..and seating! The inclusion of the bikes, kayaks and canoes were much appreciated. It was the BEST vacation, better then we could have ever dreamed. Elizabeth, Vinny and Eric were a pleasure to work with. Thank you and looking forward to returning soon!
It was an incredible week. The house, the view and the grounds exceeded all expectations. Plenty of room for the entire family and yet you could find a quiet spot if you just wanted to chill with a book. Anything you could possible need was there for your enjoyment - horseshoes, kayaks, canoe, fishing gear - the house was impeccable. A memorable week that our family will always cherish!!!
Fun at Frye
21 people had a great time at this beautiful property. There was plenty of room with 9 large bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. The owners have thought of everything - boats, bikes, fishing gear. The kitchen is large and easy to prepare food and drinks. The best recommendation I can give is we would rent this place again.
Wonderful home for large family
We're an extended family of 17 who vacation together each Summer at different locations around the globe. This year the location was Maine and we couldn't have made a better choice of house. It is large with lots of bedrooms and a table which sat 18 at once. The house and grounds are well maintained; all the equipment appears to be newly purchased or replaced. Lots of activities in the area. We rented a fishing boat and a ski boat and both were used virtually full time on beautiful Lake Sebago. All in all, a wonderful vacation spot with a gracious owner.
Thank you Blake family for your kind comments. Please come back anytime! You were great guests to have and we are so happy you had a wonderful vacation.
The Perfect Lake House
We stayed in Liz's home for an annual getaway with five families: 20 people in all, 10 adults, 10 kids. And this house was pretty much ... perfect.
Even with 20 people, the house is large enough that we had plenty of room for everyone. The accommodations themselves were almost luxurious. The house has everything you might need, including a gourmet kitchen, wifi, two TVs with cable, a gas grill, five kayaks, a dingy, life jackets, a pool table, a horseshoe pit outside, and plenty of board games inside, with an upstairs game nook to play them in.
And Sebago Lake is just amazing. The water was warm and clear. We could see the bottom even when it was 12 feet deep. We brought a 19-foot boat with an inboard/outboard motor for our trip. And it was easy to keep it at the dock, right outside the house. Water at the dock was 5-6 feet deep. No problems there.
Frye Island itself was quaint, almost a throwback to another time. The kids loved playing games at the community center and getting ice cream at Frye's Leap General Store. It is remote; an hour from Portland, including the ferry ride. And that ride is not cheap at $35. We left just once in a week. But mostly we didn't feel the need to leave. This spot was just so relaxing.
Bottom line: We loved this house. We'd stay there again. And if you are looking for a reunion home on one of New England's finest lakes, then you will be happy with this house.
