A freshwater Conch, I started elementary school here not knowing that KW was unique and special. After graduation from KWHS, working here in the 70s, college, backpacking through Europe one summer and traveling/living in other parts of the US, I finally realized what I'd taken for granted growing up here. Now, decades later, I'm home and looking forward to sharing it with those who are looking for a special spot on a special island. As to the KW writer's home thing, the island is loaded with amazing writers, artists, musicians, chefs, entertainers, etc. far more note worthy than me.

Size (710 sq ft) doesn't matter if it's set on one of the loveliest streets of Old Town, sandwiched between the historic seaport and historic cemetery, a monument in and of itself, where New Orleans style funerals and above ground burials remind us that "Manana" may never come. As a "Key Wester" I can't think of a better place to be in the action when I want, or in the peaceful flora and fauna amidst this historic property. So kick back at my place, listen to the bells of historic St Paul's Episcopal Church, balcony palms' song and the Bells of Paradise chimes -all free - and in between - your own personal journey in Key West.
What makes this Condo unique
I looked for decades at many properties. When I saw this property, I knew in less than 5 minutes, "it was the one". It was a foreclosure, dumpy, dirty and tired. Something I could afford with good bones and all the ambience and location I could ask for. Postcard perfect from every window, French doors and the balcony. Fabulous neighbors and other condo owners. My renovation pictures demonstrate the fun, relaxed atmosphere waiting for the right souls to enjoy. We honor our neighbors with the guests we endorse to share the sweetness.

We had a positive experience staying at this condo. The pool was a nice added benefit and the wrap around porch was nice to sit outside and have cocktails. We loved our stay and would go back in a heart beat.

A nice modern apartment close to everything in Old Town
Staying in this apartment was a pleasure. It was clean, with a modern interior, and stocked with the essentials. The open floor plan makes it feel very spacious with a lot of sunlight. There were only 2 of us so we didn't need the loft but it's perfect to sleep a couple additional people. The apartment was close enough to Duval street to walk or bike yet far enough that it was peaceful. The street itself is nice and quiet (you don't hear cars constantly going by like in other areas). Being on the second floor offered a nice view from the porch as well. We loved drinking coffee and reading on the porch in the morning. The pool is large (especially for Key West) and well maintained. There were plenty of lounge chairs and it's surrounded by trees offering privacy. We didn't have any issues and the owner was easy to work with. Overall it's a beautiful place and we'd stay there again.

Less than 90 day advance booking for a monthly rental is due in full with all fees.
