Remodeled studio suite at Kauai Beach Resort with panoramic ocean and pool views from the 5th floor of the main building. Room #2508. Comfy king bed and lounger is perfect for 2 adults and 1 child. A 2nd child sharing the king bed would also work(4 total occupants). Not possible at this time for 3-4 adults.

Granite counters and travertine bath and entry floors. LG flat screen 32" TV and Sony Blue Ray DVD player. Sliding shutter-style doors. 25 acre resort on miles long beach. Tropical grounds with koi ponds.4 pools including one with a water slide. Kid friendly pool has sand surrounding it and gradual slope entry. Multiple jacuzzis plus a grotto and waterfalls. On site salon, fitness center, laundry room, business center, and 3 restaurants.

• Is this a 1 bedroom condominium?

Once a Hilton hotel, the Kauai Beach Resort is a condotel run by Aqua. You get resort luxury and individually owned rooms. My #2508 suite is studio size: 307 square feet plus a 58 square foot lanai. Most units are about this size and have similar furnishings. There is no cooking in the room, but there is a coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge with freezer.

• What's the difference between my suite, renting from Aqua, or some other travel agency or website? The difference is price, amenities, housekeeping, and choice of room. My suite is quite a bit less expensive overall and has one of the best views since it is on the highest floor with direct(instead of angled) ocean views. Aqua room rates start at $219/night plus tax. Mine starts at $124/night including tax. Amenity differences(subject to change): -no maid service during your stay unless you request it for an additional fee. Aqua has daily maid service.Gett -I do not charge a daily resort fee. Aqua is $25/night -the Aqua resort fee gives their guests the following extras: newspaper, DVDs, Playstation, parking, free airport and shopping shuttle, and cultural activities. My guests can still use the pools, spa, restaurants, bar, room service, shops, business center, fitness center, car rental, and laundry room but may not participate in some of the hula show, lei making, and other on-site activities and would have to pay to rent DVDs or take an airport shuttle. -I do not increase my room charge for more than 2 guests...Aqua does -parking is $25/day plus tax for my guests. Aqua does not charge their guests separately(it's built into the amenity fee and room rate) -during your stay, if you need assistance you contact myself or my on island contact person. An Aqua guest would go to the front desk.

I know this seems like a lot of stuff but I am hoping to clarify what your experience will be like at the resort. These policies will be the same for all owners like myself who advertise here or on similar vacation rental websites. For most guests, your enjoyment will be equivalent and these differences not noticeable or relevant. Plus you are saving a bunch of money and getting one of the best rooms in the resort!

• Is this an ocean view suite?

YES. And it is not just visible out on the lanai sticking your head around the corner. It is a straight on view from the highest floor in the resort. Other suites may be less expensive, but you are getting a mountain or lagoon view.

• Is there a kitchen?

No, just a 3.5 cu. ft. fridge with freezer, microwave, and coffee maker. No kitchenware provided(no plates, utensils, pots etc.)

• What is there to do?

For short stays, you may want to keep it simple and stay at the resort enjoying the restaurants and bar, walks along the beach, tennis, spa, or one of the pools. You can arrange with the front desk to rent a car for day trips only when you need it. With a long term car rental to explore all over the island, best rates are probably found at the airport and there is an additional parking charge of $25/day plus tax. Car rental rates vary depending on where you rent, so shop around and book ahead at busy times of the year. The resort is just minutes from the airport and town. Being mid-island makes it perfect for touring the sights of Kauai to the north and south.

• What is the bedding arrangement?

The suite is ideal for 2 adults and up to 2 children using the king size bed and lounger(included) to accommodate 3. ! 2nd small child could share the king sized bed with the adults. Currently, 3 or 4 adults would not work.

• Do we need our own beach towels?

The resort will provide towels to use at the pools or beaches at no charge. Failure to return the towel card can result in a $30 charge.

• Is there a resort fee?

Since you are the guest of myself, the owner of #2508, there is no daily resort fee...a daily savings of $25. There is a $100 cleaning fee collected at time of booking which provides cleaning of the room after your departure. WiFi is free in the room, lobby, and restaurants. So the only fee you might incur at the resort is $25/day plus tax for parking

• What about WiFi?

WiFi is now free everywhere around the resort!

• Does the suite have air conditioning?

Yes. And nice ocean breezes.

• Where is suite #2508 located?

It is on the top floor(5th) of building 2. This is near to where you check in and also houses dining and shops. Elevators will get you to your floor. Most other buildings are only 3 floors.

Other Notes:

-Hawaii tax of 13.42% is added to the nightly rate.

-Parking is $25/day plus tax.

-Mid stay cleaning or towel and trash service can be requested for a fee direct from housekeeping services at the resort

-There are pool and beach towels available at no charge

-Any stays longer than 7 nights may incur an additional $75 cleaning fee

-Check-In Time - 3:00pm, Check-Out Time - 11:00am

-No smoking.

-No pets

About Tony Cannon

On my first trip to Hawaii as a teenager, I remember when it rained people would just stay under cover for a few minutes until it passed. I thought it was funny because coming from rainy Vancouver Canada, I imagined if back home we waited, we could be standing there for weeks.

I found lots more to like about Hawaii on that trip and have travelled there many times since. I've visited the 4 main islands and find each has it's own charm and experiences.

I am a real estate broker now in the San Diego area so I can enjoy sunny days almost as often as being in Hawaii.

Why Tony Cannon chose Lihue-Kalapaki

I chose to buy at the Kauai Beach Resort because of it's great location. There's easy access north or south when exploring the island or you can stay near to the airport and have a good time in town while relaxing at the resort for shorter stays.

The resort itself does a good job of displaying the aloha spirit with the shows, cultural activities, and grounds maintenance.

There's also lots of fun at the Kauai Beach Resort such as the water slide, waterfalls and grotto, tennis next door, Spa, and fitness center.

Staying here is more like a hotel experience than vacationing in someone's home. With restaurants, a bar, convenience store, business center, room service, and more on site, you will find it offers plenty of options compared to being in a residential neighborhood.

What makes this condo unique

I chose suite 2508 because it is the highest up at the resort which means the best views and the quietest. Also it faces directly out to the ocean so those great sunrises can be enjoyed on the balcony or inside the suite. The location in the main building also gives convenience moving luggage around or if you want to check out shops and restaurants.

Tony's place is just as described in listing. Communication was great, the check in process smooth, and the amenities at the resort lovely! We especially enjoyed the pools. The beach at the resort is not swimmable, but provides a lovely place to walk. If you are looking for a hotel -like experience, this is your place!

Uber started offering service March 2017. It also appears Lyft may be available. Neither can pick you up at the airport but they can take you to the airport. UberX rates are about half the cost of a taxi. Airport shuttle companies like Roberts may be worthwhile to get from the airport to the resort.

Beautiful property inside and out!

We had a wonderful and relaxed time here. Resort is close to airport and has free shuttle from airport. We thoroughly enjoyed the hula show on Tuesday and the yummy food on the resort!! Tony was great to work with and very upfront and honest!! We were upgraded to a beautiful top floor corner room 2548 due to his room 2508 being underneath some roof top construction. He told us about it upfront and got us free daily maid service that was top notch!! He sent us a wonderful anniversary gift! It was a special, relaxing, adventurous trip all in one!!

Well maintained, stunning views!

This condo was a great fit for my recent stay in Kauai. The balcony offers perfect views for sunrise and a glass of wine in the evenings. It was also very nice to be so close to the airport. I highly recommend this condo!

From the top floor of the main building, my suite offers great pool and ocean views and with the time difference in Hawaii, you may find those sunrises are easier to catch. Staying at the Kauai Beach Resort means you can hang out and enjoy all the amenities there, or you are mid point between the rest of the island sights to the north or south.

My husband and I loved the Kauai Beach Resort. The location was perfect, and we enjoyed the pools and easy beach access.

We weren't able to stay in this suite due to AT&T installing an antennae on the roof of the main building during our trip, but Tony found us another top floor ocean view suite. He also had a gift waiting for us when we arrived. He went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you, Tony!

Everything about this unit was great. The view was fantastic and we especially loved the fact everything was on-site as we wanted to relax for a couple of days before we resumed our adventures. Owner's Response: Dana was celebrating a significant birthday. I often have guests on honeymoons, anniversaries, and other special occasions. The resort does have everything on site to relax and have fun. It is centrally located to explore anywhere on the island and being in Lihue, you have all the conveniences of the island's largest city and the nearby airport. Come stay and experience the Aloha spirit for yourself!

This is an individually owned "Condo-tel". You get the benefits of a great resort and renting from a private owner where you know exactly what room you will be getting and it is better taken care of than the typical room. Plus my rate is much lower than an Ocean View room booked through Aqua who manages many of the units.
There is no kitchen in the suite...just a coffee maker and mini fridge. You can use the microwave a few doors down in the lounge for simple meals.
