Seize the pleasure of relaxing, just watching the sea-gulls, lazily sailing on the soft blue sky, or occasionally a group of dolphins frolicking in the crystal clear sea. Leave your every-day worries behind and surrender to the healing serenity of the sun, the sound of waves and the pure, unspoiled nature.

Spend time here to experience ultimate relaxation through returning to the simple ways of living. The sea is at your doorstep, and a great sea view is stretching from the terrace.

Holiday house Mate is placed on the Island of Pasman, on only about 1,5 km distance from the mainland and Biograd na moru. Biograd na Moru is a small town, just 30km from Zadar airport and 110km from Split airport, upon request there is a possibility to arrange your airport transfer. The ferry on this line goes more then ten times a day, and it is travelling about 20 min.

This holiday house is accessible by car to about 150m distance, by the road that leads to the bay of Vitane. These makeshift roads that cross the island hills are somewhat coarse (gravel/earth) and can change significantly due to the influence of weather conditions like rain - this can worsen the condition of the road much. For this reason, these roads are not passable for lowered cars, but that does not mean that you necessarily have to have an SUV or a four-wheeler. These roads are also passable for a normal car, with slow and careful driving. If you choose access by your own vehicle, the parking on an open-air parking place about 150m from the house is free of charge. The path between this parking place and the house is steep.

You may also choose to leave your car on a free and secure parking, on the island of Pasman. Transfer from this parking place to the holiday house once upon arrival and back to the car once at the end of your stay is also free of charge. In the booking process please inform us if you choose an access by your own car or the service of transfer. Ferry tickets are not included in the price.The house is detached from towns and villages. First settlement with shops, bars and restaurants is on about 5km, on a makeshift rough gravel/dirt country road, over a hilly area that stretches along the island. The path between the parking place and the house is steep.

This is a pet-friendly accommodation - arrangement with the agency and a surcharge of 5,00 EUR per day per pet are necessary.

We recommend that you bring your mobile phone, so you can contact us in case of need. You may recharge your mobile phone in the house, using your recharger that you also use in your car.

There is the possibility to rent a motorboat (on request, and provided that the client owns an acknowledged boat driver's license). To drive a boat in Croatian waters, one have to have a boat driver's license valid for open waters to present; for more information on this law, please contact a local harbourmasters' office. If you are taking your own vessel to Croatia, you will have to report it to the local harbourmasters' office, where you will also purchase the obligatory vignette for your vessel. Regardless of the laws in the country of your origin, in Croatia you have to have an acknowledged boat driver's license either if you are intending to rent a vessel or to bring and drive your own.

Electricity of 12 V is solar powered, no household appliances or electric devices may be used but the battery rechargers. Running cold water from the water tank - total capacity 20.000 l regular water - is installed in the kitchen and bathroom. The bathroom has a shower with thermo-bags, which bags, filled with water, should be placed in a sunny position to warm up the water in them. The water should be spent here sparingly. This water is originally tap water, but as it is staying in the tank in hot weather, we recommend it to be boiled before drinking, or that the users of accommodation would purchase bottled water for drinking.

Minimum stay here is 7 days, from Saturday to Saturday only.

There are two separate bedrooms, with queen beds each, therefore the total capacity of this holiday house is 4 persons. The kitchen has a gas refrigerator and a gas stove. Coockware, crockery and cutlery, as well as bed linen, are prepared for you. Fresh bed linen arrives once a week. Bathroom towels and beach towels are not available.

Please note that in this house children are counted in the total number of persons in a group, regardless of their age and that this house is regrettably not suitable for wheelchair access.

Kindly check in during the morning till early afternoon at our agency in Biograd, because the arrival to the reserved accommodation unit is impossible at night. Dalmatia is a known tourist destination, providing plenty of things to see and do while on holiday. Besides beautiful beaches, there are lots of cultural and historical sites, as well as national and nature parks in the area. People are friendly, the local cuisine, seafood as well as other, is exquisite, and the wines you simply have to taste.

The island of Pasman ( 63 km2, 65 km of irregular coast ), belongs to the Zadar island group. It is connected to the island of Ugljan by a bridge over the Zdrelac straits, while ferryboat lines connect it to Zadar and Biograd. The Pasman Channel lies between the island and the mainland. At places it is only 2 km wide, and it is dotted with dozens of tiny islands, which make this an ideal region for all types of water sports, sailing and diving. The sea currents in this area change direction every 6 hours, thus making the waters here among the cleanest in the entire Adriatic.

The island's well-preserved landscape contains many species of medicinal and aromatic herbs, vineyards, fields and olive groves, as well as numerous sand and gravel beaches, making it a true choice for those who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of life in more populated areas.

Its inlets, islets and rich undersea life make it a true challenger for divers and sport fishermen. Biking and hiking routes are cutting through the hilly inland of the island.

Single archaeological finds witness to the way of life of the early stone age /Paleolitic/ cultivators who inhabited this part of the Adriatic. We should mention Illyric towns, gradine - primitive fortifications at elevated sites, Roman ruins, ville rusticae, various mosaics, a stone statue of St. Michael /12th century/ in Nevidjane and many others.

Beyond the village of Tkon, crowing the picturesque hill of Cokovac, is the benedictine monastery of Ss. Cosmas and Damien, erected in 1125. The monastery was the centre of Glagolic liturgy and literature. The church, designed in the Gothic style and erected on the ruins of the older Romanesque one was built from 1369 till 1419. We must mention the Gothic Crucifixion, painted by a local painter from the end of the 14th century.

At Kraj, 3 kilometres to the north, is the Franciscan monastery /1390/, with the church and graceful courtyard from the 16th century. The monastery was reconstructed in1557. We should also mention the Renaissance cloister, the dining room, and the museum in which are kept several pictures of considerable value, and the panel representing the 'Madonna with Child and St. John the Baptist'.

Mediterranean climate is responsible for the growth of rich flora and fauna, many species of medicinal and aromatic plants and also the submarine world hides all kinds of shells and fish of the Croatian Adriatic

The island of Pasman is covered with lavish Mediterranean vegetation - pinewoods, vineyards, olive-groves, orchards and dense evergreen growing wild, and also with some aromatic and medicine herbs.
