We are excited to welcome you to Ed’s Mountain House! My husband Ed and I bought this modern, single family home in 2013 as a mountain get-away for us to enjoy with our young son and dog on weekends away from the Denver area, as well as a vacation home to enjoy with visiting family and friends to enjoy. Sadly, we lost Ed to a fierce battle with cancer in early 2015…and although we will continue to enjoy the house, we want to honor Ed’s passion for the Colorado Mountains by sharing this special place with others to enjoy, too.
This house sleeps 7-9 people, with 3 bedrooms & 2.5 bathrooms: a master bedroom with queen bed and attached master bathroom on the main level, and another full bathroom and two additional bedrooms on the 2nd level - one with a queen bed and the other with a twin/double bunk bed (sleeps 3). There is an additional half-bath off the kitchen on the main level, as well as a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room.
Key amenities include a spacious, fully equipped kitchen (including dishwasher & microwave oven), gas fireplace, wifi internet access, 55" flat screen smart TV, full size washer & dryer, hair dryers in both full bathrooms, a one-car garage (with ski & bike storage space), driveway & street snow plow service, outdoor gas grill and fenced backyard (great for dogs in this pet-friendly home!).
Ed's Mountain House is located in the Aspens at Eagles Nest neighborhood in Silverthorne, across the street from Ravens Golf Course; less than 1 mile from Willowbrook Trailhead; trout fishing pond and park a 5 minute walk; only 1.5-2 miles to Silverthorne & Dillon restaurants and shopping; and of course close access to world class alpine skiing, snow shoeing, Nordic skiing, ice skating & other snow activities in the winter, and hiking, biking, fishing, boating & summertime fun parks in the spring through fall.
The house is centrally located to several Summit & Vail County ski resorts:
Keystone - 10 miles
Arapahoe Basin - 15 miles
Breckenridge - 17 miles
Copper Mountain - 14 miles
Vail/Beaver Creek – 35 miles
