Enjoy unforgettable days in one of our 3 stylish and characterful holiday apartments amidst the Zermatt four thousand. All apartments are spacious, modern, cozy and nicely decorated with an open plan living, dining and kitchen area (z. T. with fireplace). From the balcony you have a unique, unobstructed view of the Matterhorn and the village.

In a few minutes you are in the village center with its countless shopping and its attractive old town center. Also within easy walking distance are the Gornergrat railway and the valley station of the Sunnegga and the bus stop, both of which are accessible by a new lift, located just above our house.

In winter you can ski from the Sunnegga-Rothorn to drive almost to the front door and start the summer his walks directly from the house.

A few steps from the house is the 'Horu-dairy'. The young, innovative cheese couple offers year-round cheese from local milk and fresh yogurt in winter additionally.

Great apartment up the hill

We stayed 3 nights in June and had a wonderful time in the Schwarzsee. The apartment is quite large and has two bathrooms, one with a large tub. It is a bit of a walk up the hill from the river, maybe 10-15 minutes' walk from the train station. The benefit of the uphill walk is a terrific view from the dining/living room area and deck. The beds were comfortable. It is a short walk to the Sunnegga station. Grocery stores are a few minutes down the hill, and the kitchen is well equipped with all necessary cooking equipment and utensils. Someday we hope to return to Zermatt, and to this apartment!

Beautiful Apartment

We spent at week at this apartment and it was perfect! It is new and in great condition, very spacious, and with spectacular views of the Matterhorn. The Family Ruede-Perren were very gracious and friendly. There were a number of little unexpected touches that made our stay all the better, like finding a basket of fresh towels outside our door in the middle of the week, and the option to have fresh bread delivered to our door from the bakery down the road. I would absolutely recommend this apartment to anyone planning an extended stay in Zermatt.

Traumhaftes Skiwoche im April

Wir sind eher durch Zufall auf das Haus Aiolos aufmerksam geworden; wir haben dann, nach einem netten Kontakt per e-mail, die Wohnung "Schwarzsee" im Dachgeschoß gebucht. Macht das Haus, sowie die Wohnung schon auf der Internetseite einen mehr als ansprechenden Eindruck, so ist der Anblick vor Ort noch deutlich besser. Das Haus und die Einrichtung sind sehr gepflegt, der Ausblick vom Wohn-/Essbereich auf den Ort und das Matterhorn atemberaubend. Die Lage für Skifahrer ist fast perfekt; sowohl zum Skibus ins Glacier paradise (der alle 10 Minuten fährt) als auch zur Sunnegga Bahn oder auch in die Stadt... keiner der Wege dauert länger als 5 Minuten. Abgerundet wird das Angebot durch sehr nette Vermieter, die mit Rat.. oder auch mit einer Kuchenform aushelfen, falls in der grundsätzlich sehr gut ausgestatteten Küche wirklich mal etwas fehlen sollte. Für einen Urlaub in Zermatt ist das Haus Aiolos unsere Top-Empfehlung.

At the end of the 30 km long Nikolai valley, on the Italian border of the western Swiss canton of Valais, lies Zermatt, the village at the foot of the Matterhorn, the most photographed mountain in the world. For our guests from abroad Zermatt represents Switzerland: high-alpine, sublime and original. Almost a third of the 4000 Alpine grouped around the village, which is visited for the first ascent of the Matterhorn in 1865 by climbers from around the world. Hotel and catering are of world renown. The ski area is not only the highest in the Alps. It is known worldwide as one of the best developed and makes bold sporting experiences on the steepest slopes in the world - 365 days a year. The climate is of an excellent quality: with 300 sunny days per year so little precipitation falls than anywhere else in Switzerland. Zermatt air is clear, dry and clean, because in the village, only electric cars without a combustion engine - and since 1947th In Zermatt some things are different. Zermatt - a world apart.
