Christmas with Family

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay, it had everything we needed and more. We loved the view, and seeing the Dauphins playing. We have family there, so had Christmas with Family. We have stayed at several different houses over the years we have been going there for Christmas and this is by far our favorite. My only complaint is there were no Christmas Decorations out for us.

Everything We Had Hoped For

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful time here; we hated to leave. The house was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Everything you could conceivably need was provided. The bed was very comfortable so after hiking and birdwatching at Hunting Island State Park, restful sleep was guaranteed. In the morning we were greeted from the bed with a wonderful view of a tributary of the river and the call of birds. The screen porch was ideal for ending the day with a glass of wine and watching the sun set. The neighbors were welcoming and it was safe to ride the provided bikes all over the neighborhood as there was little traffic. We did not use the kayaks but they were available for use if we'd wanted to. We are looking forward to staying here the next time we visit Beaufort.

Peace, Quiet, Serene.

  • 5 of 5

Everything was perfect! Beautiful sunsets from the porch. Even the workers next door were quiet! 20 min drive to Hunting island beach, Got some seafood right off the boat at Gay seafood near the beach. The house was clean and well supplied with everything we needed.

All about the Location and Extras!

  • 5 of 5

The location and extra amenities with this property are what sold us and were the highlight of our stay here. The very private view from the screened in porch or from the master bed was amazing. Located in a quiet neighborhood, with a boat landing down the street, and downtown just a 5 minute scenic bike-ride away. We got great usage out of the bikes on the Spanish Moss trail and also biking to breakfast everyday. The bikes could use a little TLC - brakes were squeaky and weak; could have also provided a bike lock. We also used the kayaks and were able to get out of the creek during low tide - the deep river is just a few paddles away! Thanks for providing the tide chart, as a bonus could also think about adding a floating dry bag to the stash of gear. It was perfect for just the 2 of us for our anniversary!
