About Wade and Patricia Evans
We are a product of on online dating. Patricia moved from MN to the Northern Hills in 1979. Wade was born in Spearfish, but was living in Colorado, counting days until the next time he could get back the 'The Hills'.
Wade and Patricia Evans purchased this Campground in 2010
Why Wade and Patricia Evans chose Hot Springs
When we found the property online, we fell in love with the house... and Wade the shop. But after we came to see it in person and walked to the cliff... well, it was just amazing. You have to see it in person to understand. Everyday, we tell our 3 dogs and 3 cats, 'we are going to the cliff' and we all take a hike together, stopping just to sit and look. Seems like every hike, we see something new, we never noticed before. So nice here, we had our wedding at the cliff edge in 2012. We have a hard time figuring out where to 'go' for a vacation... we feel we are living in our perfect vacation spot and now we have discovered that we really enjoy sharing our favorite spot and the chance to meet new friends in the process.
What makes this Campground unique
We want every guest to feel right at home and provide everything you could ever need. We treat our guests as family... that traveled from across the country and have what they need to relax and prepare for the best vacation possible. We know most families only get 1 or 2 vacations a year, we are very honored to be a part of that experience.

This was our second year at the Sibley Bell Tent 2 and it just keeps getting better! Wade and Patricia have truly thought of everything you may need for your stay. They just keep adding little touches to this site to make you really feel like it is a special weekend for you. It is so quite and beautiful here and is the perfect place to relax and unwind. We love to take glamping to the next level when we are here and really like make amazing meals on their great grill! It really comes in handy having the side burner. We make shrimp and andouille kabobs and grilled peaches, egg bakes, trench toast with peanut butter and bacon, and even smores nachos! Also this is our time to finally sit down and read and play board games. My fiance even taught me chess this time and I beat him on the second game! We really have a blast doing nothing in this perfect location and will be back again next year for our 3rd anniversary!
We just stayed for our second time and couldn’t be happier. Nothing is overlooked. So accommodating and friendly. Lots to do in the area. Kids loved the hot tub. Beautiful view. Would definitely recommend!
Summer Black Hills Couples Trip
Wade and Patricia went above and beyond to provide an excellent camping adventure in the beautiful Black Hills. We enjoyed our 2 night stay! The weather was perfect, nights were calm and peaceful, we slept great and the hot tub was absolutely what we needed after a long day of traveling or sight seeing. Thank you so much, we will be back!!
Defiantly coming back!
Everything was great! The best night sleep we had in a long time. This was a great getaway, and we only wish we could have stayed longer. Big thanks to Patricia and Wade for greeting us so late, after our long drive! We loved every minute.
My wife and I came down for our honeymoon and we had a great time. Beautiful area with awesome accommodations. The views were awesome with the hot tub and grill at your disposal to use whenever. Certainly would recommend this place to anyone who loves the outdoors but enjoys the comfort of having a nice living quarters with a hot tub and grill. We are definitely considering coming back in the future! The managers of the lodging tents are extremely nice people. They helped us find our place to stay, even though we came as late as 9:30 at night and showed us how everything works. First class service!
Our stay at the Evanscliff sibley bell tent 2 was so enjoyable. Even with the two inches of snow, and constant drizzle, we were still able to enjoy the stay. Luckily we had brought an extra heater for the tent which was much needed with the nights in the 30s. The pictures are spot on, and the owners were very accommodating. The fire pit and hot tub were amazing. We are looking forward bringing the kids back next year and staying at the house boat!
