We have been accommodating happy travelers since 2007.
Sea Mist House is our home that guests say has the most relaxing feel. Designed with natures colors and natural wood work, our Sea Mist House is very warm and inviting. You will feel the sea with the ships captain and whale décor through out. During your stay, you will enjoy two main floor bedrooms with queen beds (we've left some dresser drawers for you to unpack and use) in both rooms. The views from our master suite are so awesome you won't want to shut our room darkening blinds. The master bedroom has an en suite master bath with double sinks and relaxing jetted tub. Keeping the natural light, we have designed our luxurious bath with glass block windows in the corner and skylight up high. The living room is cozy with seating for 6 and has a wonderful woodstove, great for the cold winter nights. We have television with basic Satellite service in the living room and in the master bedroom. DVD and VCR players too!. The sofa in the living room can fold open to a temporary queen bed. Enjoy the warm and cozy second bedroom with comfy queen bed. The second bath has a nice comfortable large shower that is great for wheel chair accessibility. It has small sink and a stacking full size washer/dryer set for your use. Up the spiral staircase is a loft bedroom with daybed and a rollout twin. Out the sliding doors is a patio with a front row seat to the best Ocean Views on the north coast. Best of all this home away from home welcomes our furry four legged dog family members - just like home. We will allow 2 small dogs less than 15 pounds or one large calm dog. Dog agreement required.
The kitchen is beautiful and fully stocked with all the pots, pans and dishes you can use. Lots of different glassware, coffee mugs, serving bowls and more. All appliances plus some extra's like blenders, crockpot and toaster oven. Of course its a delight to cook in because you still have the same fantastic views while cooking!
Our dining room windows are bayed for the best viewing. Our table seats 6 and breakfast bar seats 2 comfortably. There is a shared hardline phone, wireless internet, satellite basic and a great DVD library.
This home can be rented individually or in conjunction with VRBO 146133 for a total of 12-14 guests. Coastal Breeze is next door and sleeps 6. Please email if interested. Our 5 star reviews for Sea Mist can be found on VRBO #146133 as well. (used to have both homes on one listing and have now put them out individually in VRBO)
We are an ocean loving couple who have been visiting Moclips since 1986. My husband and I are both dog loving people and wanted a very nice home away from home that is dog friendly. We are 5th generation Washingtonians, grew up in Seattle and now reside in Lakewood.
DeAnne purchased this townhome in 2005
As a family, we have been visiting Moclips since the 1980's We would walk the beach dreaming of someday owning our own vacation home. One day in January 2005 we took a random drive up SR 109 and stumbled upon the most overgrown decrepit property. We walked through the tall grass and took one look at the view and were totally wowed. We sat on the crumpled deck in back and looked at each other and said 'I guess we're going to be buying this'. After one year of living in the 'shack' we coordinated our architect and builder and together designed Seashore Dreams which was completed in September 2007. We designed both homes with the view in mind - making sure whereever you went in the home you would see the ocean. We also wanted to make sure it was built green and we recycled the old building and built new with renewable resources, low VOC paints and clean in floor heat. Thus the Dream of a vacation home became reality. We really put our heart and sole into this special place.
We are a side by side duplex - each town home being individual can be rented by itself. It is also great for two families, couples, friends who want to rent side by side but still have privacy. Because we sit sixty feet above the beach and had a large lot, we made the home one level living but added a loft bedroom in each unit. The views are phenomenal and what people enjoy most about our homes. We were aging ourselves and thought making our home easily accessible (no stairs) would benefit a growing segment of our guests. We added ramp entries into the design, wider doorways and lower light switches to name a few. We created a bath that could accomodate a wheelchair and a rollin in shower. We are walking distance to the Museum. We are not in a development and are bordered by a windblown treed lot. One of the favorites of our lady guests are the jetted tubs in the master suite baths...very relaxing after a brisk walk on the beach below. Beach access is down a paved road and just a short (10 minute) walk down Sunset Street.
One thing for sure is that it is a relaxing get away where you can choose to be active or you can choose to just sit and watch the ocean.
VRBO Bear stayed here
Jul 7, 2017Sea Mist House provided the PERFECT seaside vacation for my wife, dog and I. The drive was beautiful and unique, transitioning from lush forests to open beaches. The home itself had the most comfortable, spacious accommodations, offering multiple rooms for sleeping, dining and relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked and had modern appliances. There was also a pair of binoculars, on the bay window sill, which we used daily to view birds (we even saw a bald eagle one day!), crashing waves and the beach. The master bathroom had the most amazing jet tub that we used every day! It was both relaxing and rejuvenating! There were plenty of towels for our use, even a separate stack for dogs. We enjoyed the comfortable bed in the master bedroom, plush and inviting and we took advantage of the opportunity to sleep in each morning. There was a telescope, which we used to observe the wondrous site of the glowing moon. We also made use of the amenities, including free wifi and a DVD library. The backyard was idyllic, offering chairs for lounging and a table for outdoor dining. We also utilized the grill for burgers and the fire pit for s'mores! The outdoor space was also excellent for our dog. Since our stay included the 4th of July holiday, we watched an incredible firework display from the backyard! The view down to the shore and sea was spectacular and we spent many hours gazing out at the ocean. When we wanted to venture down to the dog-friendly beach, it was a short walk. The mornings and evenings were cool and it was delightfully warm during the day. We were provided with a helpful restaurant & activity guide. We had a luxurious dinner at the Ocean Crest restaurant, enjoying local seafood that rivaled the best we have ever eaten! We also visited Emily's Bakery twice while in town, munching on scones, maple bars, croissants and coffee. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to find a bit of seclusion and a lot of relaxation, especially if you have a furry friend in tow! SeaMist House is perfect for couples, ideal for dogs and would be a superb fit for larger families too! Thank you DeAnne for a memorable stay!
This gem of a cottage is a tad small but extremely handicap accessible. We had a great time. The view is amazing.
91 year old mom and 70 year old son just needed a relaxing winter break from city life. This trip was exactly what we needed. Did some exploring up north by car to Lake Cushman and walked on ocean beaches in between. Very comfortably accomodations. Thank you. Randal
We love Moclips! Such a nice quiet beach that it makes it so easy to relax. This house was great, beautiful ocean views, beautiful home, and beautiful place to take a break.
My wife and I were looking for a quiet, relaxing weekend on the Pacific coast on a winter weekend, and this house provided just that. The view of the ocean was was phenomenal and visible from almost every room in the house. The house had all the amenities needed for us, our 6 month old son and our puppy. We would definitely stay here again.
The perfect weekend with the family. From Ohio, Virginia, Tacoma, and Port Orchard it was nice to have a get a way where we could spend a blustery weekend watching the ocean waves and visiting. Dice games, hair coloring and cooking and a little casino activity too. Wonderful home that has everything you would ever need including a wonderful wood stove.
We will be back!
The ocean view from this duplex is AMAZING!! Although you can't access the beach from the property, you have a couple easy options. The house itself was very lovely and inviting. I was very impressed that it was set up to meet the needs of almost everyone. There is a wheelchair ramp to get into the house and the shower can accommodate someone with a physical disability. Since we have 2 dogs, we were thrilled that Sea Mist was pet friendly. Our only word of advice is to buy groceries before you get to the area (if you can shop before you leave home). There is slim pickins when it comes to grocery store choices, and the prices are higher than usual. We really enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend this property.
Our home is an "away from it all" location situated in the small historic towns of Moclips and Pacific Beach. For fresh air, great walks on the beach - we are it. Photographers, artists, bird enthusiasts, writers all love this location. For the group activity, we are centrally located to the Olympic National Forest for some great hikes and touring. For the "tourist" in you, we are 12 miles North of Ocean Shores for all the little tourist shops and more restaurants and lots of "kid" activities.
