Our vacation home is located in Whistler Village North in the unique park-like setting of Stoney Creek Lagoons. The complex consists of 4 separate low level buildings that are located around the central lagoon. It is a tranquil area within easy walking distance to all the excitement of Whistler, as well as, the main Marketplace shopping area. The Olympic Plaza is nearby with free concerts in summer, free outdoor skating in winter and a variety of coffee shops and lively restaurant patios.
There is no need to drive for shopping, daily activities or evening entertainment. During winter, a free shuttle bus service stops across the street, circuiting the main village areas and both mountain bases every 15 minutes...very convenient on snowy days when bundled up in winter gear. Registered guests arriving by car have free access to the secured underground parking.
As original owners, we have enjoyed Whistler through many seasons and never tire of the 'Village Stroll', valley bike trails, summer hiking and winter skiing. The recently completed renovation includes new carpeting and window coverings throughout and has created a more open-plan main floor kitchen and living area with all new appliances, updated cabinetry and quartz countertops. Both bathrooms have also been updated with new countertops and fixtures.
Our townhouse overlooks the central lagoon and gardens with spectacular views of both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. The open-plan main floor provides a well-equipped kitchen, separate dining area, and cozy lounge area with gas fireplace, stereo, flat screen TV and DVD player. The adjacent deck provides convenient BBQ access and comfy chairs for conversation or relaxation. The in-suite laundry with washer and dryer is also on this floor.
The two bedrooms, each with queen-sized bed and flat screen TV/DVD, are located upstairs with two full bathrooms; one ensuite with jacuzzi tub and one separate with shower. The extra large upper deck can be accessed from both bedrooms and has a dining table and chairs for outdoor meals, as well as, patio furniture for lounging and enjoying the view. PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO SOFABED IN THIS UNIT.
We live about 2 hours away in the Metro Vancouver area and have therefore arranged for a professional reception service to eliminate confusion regarding check-in, parking and property information, as well as general orientation and 24 hour in-resort emergency contact. Full concierge services are also available on request.
