Completely private, full kitchen, extra large bedroom and bathroom, new queen sized bedroom furniture, 200 SF raised covered deck accessible from both the living room and bedroom, WIFI, large flat screen TV with Dish Network, HBO and Netflix, living room has love seat and ottoman as well as an extremely comfortable over-sized rocker recliner. Perfect for the sports fan to kick back and watch the games. Dining table seats 4, desk & chair in the living room for those of you here on business, and full laundry facilities available upon request at no additional cost. Large bay window with over-sized cushioned window seat in the living area that could easily double as an extra long twin bed. Perfect for reading, relaxing, or cuddling with your significant other. There is also a self-inflating queen sized raised mattress that can comfortably sleep two more adults. The home is in an established, quiet woodsy neighborhood although you are only a few minutes from the interstate, shopping, dining, and everything our great city has to offer. We are located in the Bearden area of Knoxville with tons of restaurants, a microbrewery, wine bar, and just about anything else you'd want less than five minutes away. The attached carport is a few steps from the private entrance which offers you complete privacy. The carport has light switches on the outside wall near the front door that not only turn on the porch light, but the inside entry way light as well, so you never have to walk into a dark house at night. You will be as comfortable as if you were in your own home. Owner lives on the property in the main house and is available should you need anything or have any questions.

About Owner/Property Manager

I'm originally from San Diego, CA but both sides of my family are from a small town in east TN so I have strong ties to this beautiful part of the country. I moved here in 2004 to be close to family and last year I bought this home with an attached apartment so that my elderly father could live there and be close by. Since he ended up needing around the clock care he now lives with my brother who can be with him 24/7 which left me with an entire "extra" home. My sister suggested listing it on VRBO and I'm so glad I did. It's a great way to make use of a very nice completely furnished extra home that would otherwise sit empty, and it provides people visiting Knoxville a place to stay that feels like home instead of staying in an impersonal motel or hotel with little privacy and let's face it, a lack of the type of security you have staying in a private home.

Why Owner/Property Manager chose Knoxville

I wanted a unique home with a large lot versus the cookie cutter homes most developments seem to be these days. The home is located on a half acre corner lot on a hill so when you sit on the covered deck you are looking down on the neighborhood which adds to the feeling of privacy.

What makes this house unique

You are literally 3 to 4 minutes from the interstate but almost feel like you're out in a rural area because the home is located in a large, established neighborhood with mature trees.

Lovely and conveniently located property.

The owner does a great job keeping her home clean. It is located minutes from the UT-Knoxville campus, restaurants and grocery stores. Everything you need to get started is available when you arrive.

Cold but enjoyable visit to Knoxville

We enjoyed our stay. The unit was clean and comfortable and was accessible to a great number of restaurants and attractions. The weather was colder than we expected due to Henry but that was out of our control.
