About Sean Burke
Grew up in Colorado just south of Denver. Went to college at MIT and was in Boston area for the 6 years before moving back to Colorado. I have spent the last 3 years living in the condo and renting it a few weeks a year. I work as a remote software developer and couldn't find a better place to live than Copper Mountain. Recently, I have moved away from Copper and am now renting out the unit full time.
Sean Burke purchased this Condo in 2015
Why Sean Burke chose Copper Mountain Ski Resort
Location Location Location. This condo complex has probably the best location of any complex at copper mountain. It is set up higher on the mountain so you can truly ski to the lifts. Most other complexes are located at the base of the mountains and not truly ski in/ski out. Copper Mountain is also a great mountain, one of the best in my opinion. It is known for being far less crowded than nearby mountains like Breckenridge and Keystone. It's also located right off the highway so easy to get to nearby towns like Silverthorne, Frisco, Breckenridge, Keystone, and Vail.
What makes this Condo unique
This condo is one of the few updated places at copper with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and updated bathrooms. And it is very large for a 2BR at copper. at 1350 sqft, it is significantly bigger than the 800 sqft 2BR's you'll see in other complexes. On top of all that, has a nice outdoor hot tub and a sauna right outside the units door. This unit faces the mountain so you get great views of the mountain and even a bit of the slopes. It also comes with free garage parking and 2 ski lockers so has plenty of space for all your travelers skis.

Great location and owner is so very nice and helpful
This condo is perfectly located - true ski in and ski out. It has a neat view where you can partially watch skiers coming off of the mountain and down to the lift or condo. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of linens (including pull out sofa linens and blankets). There are hair dryers in the bathrooms, coffee and filters, ziplock baggies and aluminum foil, etc in the kitchen. Please note that the washer and dryer are not in the unit - you need to utilize the ones on the first floor and a load is $1.25 for washer and $1.25 for dryer. The unit has some wear and tear but the location is perfect and the owner could not possibly be nicer or more helpful. He responded quickly to any question, knows the mountain well and gave great advice. We would return for sure!
Ideal lodging option at Copper!
I stayed at Sean's place so I could watch my son compete in the 2017 USASA Nationals.
We loved the convenience of the location, indoor parking, ski lockers and super easy access to/from the slopes, which begin right outside the unit. We also enjoyed the spacious living room, dining room and kitchen, as well as the large bedrooms. The king bed and big flat screen in the master was a welcome comfort after a long day on the slopes.
My son won a gold and a silver medal in his two events and our rental was awesome, who could ask for more!
Great Vacation ski in and ski out as close as you can get at Copper
Our family of 4 had the best ski vacation. Sean's place was as close to ski in and ski out as you can get. It is a huge unit and there were lots of extra blankets and pillows we could have brought more people. We loved how close it was to center village; how Sean's place is the corner back unit, private so we could leave the blinds up and have lots of natural light. We could watch the skiers, chipmunks (chip and dale), and the birds (especially the blue ones with the ruffled feathers on top of their heads (Edward and Edwina). We went in the hot tub once, but did not get a chance to use the sauna right beside the door of Sean's condo (sauna could hold 2 people tightly). The remodeled kitchen was great, we had warmer weather so spent time with champagne and coffee on the deck. The building itself has work to do, but it is cozy and the best location. Thanks so much for a great vacation.
This condo is a corner unit in the back of the building so it overlooks the forest and the skiers literally go right below you. I've tried many condos that claim ski in/out access, this is about as good as it gets. You may have to do just a lil pulling skiing out but I always grinned from ear to ear skiing in! Saved 30.00 in parking 10 in locker fees a day. Skied in for lunch, bottle water and was gone in 10 minutes.
I don't care about all the other stuff but if ya wanna know-we grilled 3 huge ribeyes on the gas grill by the hot tub outside. Watched the Super Bowl with the fireplace on while it was snowing. Pretty spacious condo.
I would say the only "head scratcher" was the African theme inside but it's actually tastefully done.
This condo is in a great location, easy access to base activities and ski hill. Unfortunately, there is nothing inside the condo that is going to wow you. While it has recently been "updated" the reno was minimal and the quality of the work is poor. My husband stepped barefoot on a carpet tack - the carpet is cut and pieced together poorly in a number of places. Master sink handle fell off; kitchen faucet turns itself on spontaneously; appliances felt sticky and unclean; oven knobs were wonky and almost impossible to control temperature for cooking; while there are many kitchen pots and utensils they are "organized" in a heap in the cabinets; lighting is poor everywhere - kitchen, bathrooms; guest toilet runs loudly if you don't jiggle the handle. There is a nice little balcony that faces the hill and it would have been great if there would have been a little table and chairs to enjoy it or have a meal out there. Instead there were just two plastic chairs. Fortunately, we were there for a bike ride and didn't spend a lot of time in the condo. If you are merely looking for a place to crash and don't care about aesthetics or cleanliness, this will do. We were certainly hoping for a little more and this condo did not reflect the photos or meet our expectations.
Excellent Ski in/out Condo at Copper Mountain!!!
My family of five, my husband, 2 sons ages 14 and 21, and daughter 18, just returned from a great stay at The Lodge at Copper!! This condo was absolutely beautiful, with amazing views of the snow covered trees from the balcony and all windows! You can ski out everyday to the American Flyer lift , but if you don't get up enough speed it might be easier when you get to the bottom to take off your skis and walk the last few feet to the line. The condo was completely stocked with everything you would ever need. The kitchen was updated with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Although we didn't cook, there were plenty of pots, pans, utensils, paper towels, and dinnerware. There was also plenty of soft towels, shampoo, and soap. The condo had a nice sitting area to take our ski boots off and hooks to hang all of our jackets. We loved the fact that this condo was a corner unit facing the small ski in lane and the pathway to Union Creek. This unit's location is very convenient being right above the back door as we could just walk down the stairs to the garage locker and then straight outside! Or you can easily go down the elevator if you didn't want to walk down the few steps of stairs. We walked the short walk to the stores and restaurants every night. Sean was great to work with, and always responded with any questions I had!! We had a wonderful time at Copper Mountain!!!
