Our warm and cozy beach house has a cabin-like feel with it's knotty pine interior, high ceilings and natural light. It is comfortably furnished with everything you need to have a relaxing vacation.
The kitchen is well-equipped for the chef in the family and the wood-burning stove adds to the overall warmth of this sweet coastal getaway. The house includes wireless internet, cable tv, dvd player and plenty of games for added entertainment.
There are two bedrooms at the Sitka House. The master bedroom has a king bed, an attached half-bathroom and direct access to the backyard deck. The second bedroom offers two twin beds. There are two large padded window benches in the living room that can accomodate extra sleepers. The beach is only a block and half away and you'll be able to hear the ocean from each of the two decks which provide tons of privacy in a natural setting. Grill out and chill out after a day at the beach!
Take a 15 minute stroll to the center of the cute town of Manzanita. Or, you can bike on the bike paths right from the house...bike provided! Manzanita is a sweet little beach town that has a lot to offer...coffee shops, a great pub, boutique shops, a spa, good restaurants, and two nicely stocked markets.
The house is located right across the street from Nehalem Bay State Park, offering access to fantastic kayaking, crabbing and world-class salmon fishing. There are wonderful nature trails through the dunes and horseback rides are offered during summer. Manzanita Golf Course is just down the street.
There are many incredible hikes in the area, including Neahkahnie Mountain, Cape Falcon and Oswald West State Park. Short Sands Beach and Smugglers Cove is one of Oregon's best surf spots, just five minutes north of town. Kite boarders and wind surfers also call Manzanita paradise.
There really is something for everyone in this Oregon gem. We invite you to make the Sitka House your home away from home on your next visit to the Oregon Coast!
