Beautiful views. Fully stocked kitchen. Clean hot tub.
fantastic cabin for a weekend getaway!
we rented the cabin for 2 nights because we were in town for a wedding nearby. we had 10 people and the cabin was perfect! plenty of space! we had room to park 7 vehicles without any problems. contact with the owner was easy and he was very easy to work with and answered all our questions in a timely manner. the view was gorgeous and the hot tub was the perfect place for friday night relaxation. the house had everything we needed- fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, just everything! our crew would definitely consider this cabin in the future!
Did not want to leave.
The house is great! Beautiful views and plenty of space for everyone to lounge. Celebrated my 30th wedding Anniversary and renewed our vows with our immediate family in the screened in room. The owner Tim Holder contacted us a week before to help with gate passes and to check on our needs for the stay. We will be back and highly recommend to others.
Thank you Tim, your home is just what we needed.
Thank you.for the nice review, please come back anytime!
Lovely Mountain View
*Loved that it is dog friendly- our dogs loved it there! They had two huge decks out back and the screened porch to frolic and snooze.
*The HUGE screened in porch with the pretty mountain view- we spent most of our time out here
*The great room and its large windows make for beautiful sunrises and sunsets
*VERY well stocked kitchen- every gadget and dish you can imagine. Lots of basic spices, too
*Even though it's in a community the houses are far enough apart that we felt alone and very private
*Very close to North GA sites we love in the fall: Burt's pumpkin farm, Amicalola falls, day trip distance to Ellijay, Blueridge
*Multiple beds and choices for sleeping
*Parking was on a level driveway and it was very easy to unload and load. My nephew came to visit and there was enough space for our SUV, his SUV and still more room for a 3rd car if we had one.
*The community itself lists many wonderful amenities that we did not use
*We had little contact with the owners but they did respond to our questions in a fairly reasonable time.
*Both bedrooms on the main floor have single beds- keep this in mind if you have bad knees, can't climb stairs well, but wish to sleep next to your spouse. (Upstairs is a queen bed and downstairs is a queen bed and a king bed)
*The basement level is very musty and damp. It does smell like mold/mildew, although we saw boxes of materials at the foot of the stairs that look as if the owners plan on getting rid of the carpet and putting in laminate flooring.
*The lighting in the bedrooms is either very dim, or light bulbs were out completely.
*Make sure the owner has EVERYONE's name who will come to visit or stay, so that when they enter at the security gate, the guards will have their name. As stated earlier, my nephew visited us while we were at the cabin. He was in the area and wanted to come join us for dinner with his fiance. We thought we could stop at the security gate with him behind us and let them know he was coming in with us, but they would not allow it. They told us we had to get ahold of the owner and then get the owner to call the gate, which did take a little over an hour. Not the owner's fault but just be aware! This could also affect you if others in your party aren't arriving at the same time you are.
We enjoyed it here and would stay again!
Great place with tremendous view
Big Canoe Mountain Hammock
Stayed 2 days with family for our Grand Daughter's wedding at Tate House. Beautiful setting on top of ridge. Two black bear sightings. We spent most of the time on the screened porch with breeze off the mountains.
