After your morning activities it's time to get out to the beach! Its a an easy 7 minute bike ride. Pack the 'mule' (bike cart) and cooler we provide with your refreshments and you're off to the beach! Take the bike path right next to the house right to the beach (see the map below). What arrangements are made to pick up a key? Our home is equipped with an electronic 'keyless' entry system that is programmed with a code of your choice. This makes it very convenient for our guests as they do not have to worry about getting locked out, or losing a key.
Does your pool get any direct sun as many of the homes we've stayed in within Sea Pines, well their pools are too shaded? Yes, the pool gets direct sun light from mid-morning to mid afternoon. Summer pool temps generally range from 85 - 88 degrees. Many of our guests share that they really enjoy coming back to the house and having the pool there after a day at the beach!
What if there is an issue while we are staying at your house? Our home has been professionally managed by an on-island company for the past several years. All issues are quickly addressed with minimal disruption to your vacation. So, you never need to worry about trying to contact the owner to report a problem and work with an absentee owner to help them address the issue.
Where can we rent bikes and how much does it cost? As mentioned above, feel free to use our 6 adult 26 inch bikes, bike cart, or use one of the many bike rental companies on the island. I'll be glad to provide you with recommended companies should you decide to not use our bikes, or should you need more. And our home is conveniently located right on one of the many bike paths that take you all over the plantation.
How close are you to the beach? Under 7 minutes by bike, or an enjoyable 10 minute stroll. See the map below.
Are you close to Harbour Town and South Beach? Yes, and we bike to both. The home is just about equal distance to both; it's about a 10 minute bike ride, or 5 minutes by car.
What size is the house? The two level home is over 3,500 square feet. There are two large "master" bedrooms on one side of the house, each with private baths and two bedrooms on the other side of the house, each with their own private baths. All bedrooms have ample closet and storage space.
Is your home for sale and could we have our vacation interrupted by an agent wanting to show the house? No, our home is not for sale. We do caution prospective guests that are looking at other properties to check with the owner or manager to insure that the property they are considering is not for sale, or that they will not have their vacation interrupted by agents wanting to show the home!
Do you offer discounts? If your arrival date is 30 days or less away and our home is available, we will certainly work with you.
Do we add cleaning fees to your listed prices? No, the published fee includes the departure cleaning fee. The only other fees are South Carolina Accommodation and City of Hilton Head Island taxes totaling 10%, and the optional fee to heat the pool and / or spa.
