Come and stay with us, Up in Hawi. Our property provides a great space to stay while venturing out and exploring Kohala. We have mature fruit trees to gather from and enjoy (when in season) during your stay. Our cozy wonderful studio w/kitchenette and bath has a private lanai for you to relax and take in the beautiful view of Maui and enjoy the cool trades. The private covered parking and entrance allows you to come and go as you please, but should you need anything we are just a breezeway away. We also provide cable, coffee and tea, snorkeling equipment, beach mats and beach towels.
There are some great hikes in the area, including hikes into the valleys between Pololu and Waipio, and along the cliffs overlooking the Pacific. We have several restaurants, two great coffee shops and are happy to provide you with brochures for local activities and menus from local restaurants. There are also several galleries and gift shops.
You can "flume da ditch", in a canoe along the Kohala ditch, which was built to carry water from the Kohala Mountains down into Hawi, Kapaau, and Halaula.
Kohala's history includes the birthplace of Kamehameha I, the first king to unite the islands; the home of the original Kamehameha statue; an ancient heiau and birthplace monument.
We look forward to your visit to beautiful North Kohala.
