About Bob Trombi
We are the Trombi Family, Bob, my wife Sybille (from Germany) and our 3 kids. We live in Gresham, OR and we love the Northwest. Our cabin is only 45 min away from where we live and we frequent there often for quick getaways, ski trips, one nighters and spring breaks! We love the mountains and rivers, hiking and exploring and you will to from this great base of a cabin on the incredible and majestic Mt Hood!
Why Bob Trombi chose Mount Hood Village
We built this log home a few years back after falling in love with the Mt Hood area and this community of vacation homes and cabins. We love to go here and take walks and hikes along the Sandy River right out our door in summer and in the snow in winter. The beauty is unimaginable! We hope you enjoy this incredible spot!
What makes this Cabin unique
This cabin is 1350 sq feet and lives large. You can stay in our upstairs master suite with sitting area, TV, DVD, cable and private bath with a nice king bed. This is a great place and has been for many couples, honeymooners and those taking a romantic weekend away. Outside the master is a double futon in the open loft. So one family can take over the upstairs with another family using the queen bedrooms and bath downstairs. The large great room with wall of glass overlooking the forest is a great treat with a large dining table to accomodate your big group!

We had a great week.
Cabin was roomy and perfect size for our group. Kitchen was well equipped (except the kitchen could use a spatula!).
Loved the hot tub!
Loved being able to have our dog with us!
Thanks for staying! Kitchen had a spatula next to the stove in container. Come back again soon!
Beautiful cabin. Great size for 8 of us and 2 dogs, one little one big. Plenty of things to make you feel like home, like appliances, cooking tools, towels, etc. Interesting for there to be a rule about no shoes in the house when it's up in the mountains and this is usually almost impossible. It did feel like there were fees for almost anything that could be missed that other homes would not normally require or charge you for, such as not starting your own laundry of their towels or bedding. Overall, we had a wonderful and comfortable stay and both the caretaker of the home and owner were easy to reach and communicate with. Would visit again!
There maybe twice in 10 years that we charged an extra cleaning fee because of guests with no regard for our property. Thank God that 99% of our guests are respectable and it is a joy to rent to them. Every cabin you stay in has a check out list. Even with guests starting the laundry it takes our cleaner 4 hours to clean. And you have to admit, it was one of the cleanest cabins you have ever stayed in!! As for shoes off....we are surrounded be pine trees with needles and they get everywhere so taking shoes off helps and we are European, it's what we do!! Besides dog hair those little buggers are the biggest pain to remove. Thanks for staying!
The cabin was great! It was cozy, in a nice area and quiet. Lacking on cooking supplies, but nothing major. Will definitely stay here again if we're in the area!
Thanks for staying. The cabin is well stocked with all your pots and pans needed to cook. And yes for safety reasons we do not supply perishables so bring all your food, condiments and goodies!
Ideal for familes
Great place for exploring the area! Very comfortable and perfect for families of all ages. My only suggestion for improvement would be to update the bed linens. Other then that it has everything you need to prepare meals. I love to cook so I was empressed with the ample selection of bowls and cooking utensils.
Thanks for staying. Linens are continually updated at least every few months or when needed as we are meticulous about providing a quality experience all around.
Rented the cabin for my daughter's 37th birthday, accompanied by our 9 year old granddaughter. The cabin was very nice, comfortable and cozy. Close enough to all mountain activities. Hot tub was nice. Easy access to the river for a nice walk. Enjoyed our stay very much!
Easy to find
We had a relaxing visit and enjoyed the trails. Though not wheelchair accessible, with only two steps to access, a party member with limited mobility might still be able to enjoy this cabin. My mother would have loved this place. It is too bad firewood is not provided for the firepit. The grocery store wood was not well-seasoned. Even so, we did enjoy an evening around the fire.
