About Todd Hustad
We've been coming out to Montana for the past 20 years from our home in Minneapolis. Finally bought a place of our own! We get out about 3 to 4 times a year to 'decompress' in this gorgeous setting! We are happy to share it with you, and hope you agree: 'I don't want to go home!'
Todd Hustad purchased this Condo in 2004
Why Todd Hustad chose Whitefish
Well situated in Ptarmigan Village right above "Elmer's Pond" (a stocked trout pond}. Beautiful hiking trails on Ptarmigan property. Only 2 miles to Whitefish Mountain ski resort. 6 miles to downtown Whitefish with great dining facilities and small town charm. Attractively priced and easy to book.

Basic but very clean and comfortable.
The location is fantastic for hill walking and mountain biking and just a few kilometres from the lake. There could have been an amazing view from the condo but it was very closed in by trees which was a bit disappointing. Any minor issues that arose were dealt with very quickly.
Great location, nice, clean place
This was the perfect location for spending time in Whitefish and Glacier. The place was comfortable for three people. It offered a lot of privacy because it has two levels (one bedroom upstairs in the loft and two downstairs) and two bathrooms, one on each level. It also had great access to the Big Mountain with a wonderful summer view of the Flathead Valley. And how wonderful to have access to two pools (indoor and outdoor), a jacuzzi (outdoor) and a private beach on Whitefish Lake. Our only criticism: The coffee maker was unbelievably slow. We had to program it to start at least an hour before we wanted coffee for our 8 cups to be ready. And unfortunately, the electric tea kettle was missing a cord. Thankfully, there was a kettle that we could use on the stovetop. Would definitely stay here again.
Thank-you for your kind and thoughtful review!
We will replace the coffee maker and find the cord or replace the water boiler as well.
I greatly appreciate these reviews that inform me what is amiss (as well as getting positive comments) on the unit, as I am not always there to keep an eye on things.
Most users on Home Away have experienced a rental that was advertised as a really nice place at a good price and were disappointed when they arrived. Well this place fits in that category. The photos didn't do it justice as to how below average it is. Just to list a few issues: Carpets are stained, the tub didn't drain, the bathroom is smaller than an RV bath, the patio is tiny and shared with the unit next door, the fan in the kitchen was so noisy we had to turn it off, the building and the unit are old and dated. I could go on but hopefully you get the picture. When checking around the area we found nicer places at a better price.
One last thing, when one pays for cleaning why are the maids soliciting for tips?
Wonderful Whitefish Accomodation
Wonderful condo! Really enjoyed the lake access and proximity to the ski lift. 7 minute drive to town. Thanks!
Beautiful place, Todd is wonderful to work with
This was our first time using VRBO, Todd made it so easy and painless. He answered silly questions and was great at communicating with us. The condo is beautiful, cozy and quiet. We found it easily using Google maps. Pool, hot tub and the neighbors were more than amazing! We did have a slight problem with the security code to the pool/hot tub. Our initial code worked but, they change the code on Fridays Thank goodness for a very pleasant gentleman who helped us into the building and with the new code. I definitely recommend this property, it is far enough out of town for "get away " yet close enough to meet family for dinner. We had 3 adults 1 grown teenager and a young teen, we had plenty of room. If I am fortunate enough to get to come back to this area I will definitely be looking into this property again. The teens of our group had an issue logging onto internet however I do think it was resolved. I was not there to be worried about an internet connection I was there to disconnect and to be with my family. If there was a need for a phone there is a landline phone. We were there to be in the GNP not worry about tv or wifi. Large fridge full stove there is a grill on the deck but, we did not use it. Condo stayed cool opened windows in the evening and closed in the morning temperatures stayed perfect for us. Condo was perfectly stocked with bath linens. The wildlife is very active on the property in the evenings we saw several deer and various birds in the trees was like being serenaded. Todd, thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us words cannot express our gratitude.
We have rented the condo for 2 summers and it has been great for our family. Todd is absolutely the best to deal with. The kitchen/dining are tight, but overall, a very nice condo in a great location with great amenities. Todd has been most gracious and helpful in our two years working with him.
