Guestbook comments from the owner

We have never stayed on the Sound side before but found it to be the best of both worlds. The quick 3 minute walk to the ocean was wonderful and you cannot beat the gorgeous view of the sound from the balcony. The grounds are lovely and well kept especially around the pool. Even though this an older unit and could use some updating, the kitchen is very well stocked. All in all, it was very comfortable. We would definitely rent it again!

We loved our stay in this unit! It's got great sound views. Quiet and relaxing. Having the pool was great too. Beds sleep great just like home. The owners are very nice and accommodating. We hope to visit again soon!

Amazing views!

  • 4 of 5

The place was clean and well taken care of, with all we needed for a weekend getaway. Easy walk to the beach, go karts and places to eat; easy drive to lots of other things to do. We could have stayed a lot longer just enjoying the water views!

property was well maintained overall and had all the amenities indicated

  • 5 of 5

When we began searching for properties, our main pre-requisite was an adequate kitchen to provide a traditional home cooked Thanksgiving meal for our Marine son stationed nearby. We were pleasantly surprised when the property owners offered to provide anything we would need not already available in the kitchen. While small, the kitchen definitely met our needs. Additionally, the sunset view from the balcony was worth braving the slightly cooler weather to sit and enjoy. The dining table was spacious enough to allow us to enjoy the holiday meal as well as a few games during our stay. The washer and dryer available in the condo was a definite Godsend as we were able to keep our laundry done as well as ensuring we sent our Marine back to his duty station with a bag of clean clothes. The beds in both rooms were BEYOND comfortable after a 22 hour drive from home (I really wish there had been a way to KEEP those mattresses for my beds at home!)

My husband says his only complaint was the three flights of stairs he had to climb with all of the groceries necessary for a complete Thanksgiving meal, but there's not really a whole lot you could do about that. LOL

I would definitely recommend this property to others and would not hesitate to stay again if the need arises for us to return to the shores of North Carolina.

Thank you for helping us create a memorable holiday for our son so far from home.

Charming Third Floor Condo Convenient to Historic Sites and Shopping

  • 5 of 5

I booked this condo for my parents, sister, and I to spend some time to together. Coming in the off-season meant a quiet and peaceful visit that was just what we wanted.

We have one con for this property and that is simply the 48 steps one must traverse upon coming and going. This was a detail we overlooked when we booked this location, but the expansive view was nearly worth it.

We enjoyed daily views of Bogue Sound, native birds, boats, fisherman, and more as we sipped morning coffee on the deck. We utilized the binoculars from the shelf just inside the door our entire stay. We left behind a squeegee from the Dollar Tree as the sliding doors were covered in condensation in the morning.

Each bedroom is equipped with a Roku TV that includes cable, Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu, and more. In the living room, there is also a DVD player. The beds were comfortable like home.

NOTE: The front Master bedroom where the sun comes in during the day is warmer than the rest of condo. It was very warm during our stay on the coat tails of Tropical Storm Nate. We found a fan in the hall aimed toward the doorway pulled in the cool air from the rest of the condo sufficiently. There are a couple fans (as well as ceiling fans) provided.

The furnishings were ample. We enjoyed the large dining table for meals and playing cards.

The entire property is meticulously maintained. There is plenty of room to stroll and beach access is just across the street. The pool area was nice and inviting. We did indulge a couple times even though the water was a bit cold this time of year.

This location is very convenient to both historic locations and shopping. We enjoyed trips to Fort Macon, Beaufort, and Morehead City...all just a short distance away. There was plenty to see and do right on Bogue Banks, but we did venture off for the Maritime Museum and some boat watching in Beaufort. There was so much to do, we have some left for another trip in the future.

Overall a great experience.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

For our first trip to Emerald Island, we rented this condo for 4 people. Location is half way between Emerald Isle and Atlantic Beach with a great balcony view of the Inland waterway. The beach was a short walk across the street with a bathroom and outdoor showers at the entrance to a nice walkway. The condo was roomy with great beds (loved the mattress) in the king bedroom. 2 bathrooms made it nice for 2 couples. We did (both bedrooms) have to hang a blanket over the windows because we were right beside the Golf and Go-Cart attraction (which we did and had a blast) but the bright lights shined through the blinds. Some good blackout curtains would be an easy fix. Great place and would highly recommend.

Best of both worlds

  • 5 of 5

Top floor, large 2 bedroom condo. Cool design. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. The beds are super comfortable. Nice linens and lots of fresh towels. Owners continue to upgrade with new toilets and all new appliances, stainless sreel in the kitchen.

Living room/ dining room are very spacious but we spent all our indoor time on the large balcony overlooking the beautiful sound. Two minutes away, across the street is the ocean with an incredible, uncrowded beach. Couldn't ask for more.

The owners are attentive and answered any queries we had immediately.

Most highly recommend.
