Quiet, Comfy, and Clean!
This nice home is a perfect place to get away from things for a while. We enjoyed our stay. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood, it is clean, modern, and inviting. I highly recommend it!
Cozy, comfortable, and beautiful!
We stayed at Marion's for CSU's parents' weekend and it was just lovely. The accommodations are exactly as advertised and the location was convenient and we were very comfortable. Couldn't say better things - it was perfect!
A Warm and Lovely Home
Marian's house is a gem, and she's a peach. I rented the house to prepare for and try a case in Ft. Collins. It was perfect for our trial team. Marian was warm and welcoming and tolerated our odd hours and coming and goings. She has lived out of the country and traveled extensively, collecting marvelous pieces of art. Being able to have a place where we could work without constraints was perfect and played a big role in our success in winning a significant damages award for our clients.
Pretty house -convenient location
We were uncomfortable when we entered-the house was not prepared or to the cleanliness we have come to expect from the many VRBO's we've stayed at.
The house was very definitely prepared - everything cleaned, fresh sheets, towels, kitchen cleaned, etc. I do show in my listing that this is my primary residence, not a dedicated rental property. I was gone myself for the weekend, so I did have food in the fridge from my own use, but there were two shelves cleared for my guests usage. They complained that there was a car in the garage and trash in the container in the garage, which had no effect on their stay.
I touched base with the owner a couple of days prior to driving out to Colorado. She informed me that she resides there and had been out of town but decided to come back early. She said she'd now need the master bedroom because her back is sore. She said I could have the twin bed downstairs. She also said she has a cat and is bringing it back during my stay. I chose this place because it was pet friendly. I was also planning to make an Easter meal here for my college daughter and her roommates. I was very disheartened. I would not recommend this owner to others.
This review is totally untrue. This guest reserved Friday to Sunday, two days, but thought that entitled her to stay till Monday. She also reserved for one guest but expected her daughter and friends could stay over. Had she checked out per her reservation we would not have crossed. She wanted a refund two days before her reservation, for which I had paid for housecleaning and had turned down another guest. She never came and we never met.
The Walden Way house is a well maintained property with a "work in progress" yard at the time of
our stay. The inside of the house is very nicely decorated in a completely eclectic style. We particularly
enjoyed the pergola patio area. The kitchen is nice with easy accessibility. While not truly a problem,
we found the owners on site presence "awkward".
Additional information about rental rates
No smoking of any kind on the premises, inside or out. If owner is in the house during your stay, the resident cat will be present also. No more than two vehicles parked in front of property; extras must go 1/2 block east to public street so as not to block neighbors. Partying not allowed on premises. No additional persons, adult or child, allowed to stay on the property camping in back yard, sleeping on floor or sofa, or in vehicle parked on property,or through any other means, because this will violate my homeowners insurance and City of Fort Collins rules. No exceptions, not even for one night. Normally, owner will stay in main floor office/bedroom during your stay, and you will have exclusive private use of the upstairs 3BR, 2Ba area, and the rest of the house and back deck, yard and dining area. No illegal activity of any kind, nor excessive use of alcohol, allowed on the premises.
