This beautiful, spacious apartment is the best of all worlds: all the charm of Boston’s North End, with all the comfort and luxury of a thoughtful, new renovation. The desirable location in Boston is just steps from the waterfront, historic sightseeing (Freedom Trail, Quincy Market), fabulous restaurants and boutique shopping! You’ll enjoy quality linens and towels, sparkling hard wood floors, and a large kitchen. The living room includes expandable Cable TV and sleep sofa for additional guests. For your convenience we have a washer and dryer in the unit, luggage holders and, of course, WIFI.

A rental car is not necessary! There’s something for everyone within walking distance or a quick subway ride, which will take you to other areas of Boston, and nearby Cambridge (home of Harvard University and MIT). Stroll cobblestone streets and chose from over 100 authentic Italian restaurants, bakeries, markets and cafes. Walk out the door to a plethora of delicious cappuccino and Italian pastry shops, and stop in at the owner’s Italian sandwich shop: Pauli’s, “wicked fresh, crazy good" comfort food on the street level. Explore all Boston has to offer, then come back and relax in your luxurious home away from home!

Extremely clean condo and very easy to accommodate 4 people in three sleeping different areas

My middle-aged daughter, my high-school-aged grandson and his friend, and I (in my 70s) greatly enjoyed a three-night stay in this condo this past weekend. It was extremely clean and had very nice quality towels. The kitchen was nicely equipped, with a Keurig coffee maker. The refrigerator has filtered water and a great ice maker. The sofa and easy chair in the living room were comfy. The dining room table was roomy with four comfy chairs.

There are two bathrooms. One is a half bath with access from the master bedroom (which had a queen bed), and the other is a full bath which opened into the main hallway and was easily accessible to all guests (the second bedroom with a double bed, and the sofa bed in the living room). Having the full bath accessible to everyone was very handy for coordinating showers. And the shower was beautiful.

The heating (baseboard) and cooling (ceiling unit) worked well -- there are two controls in the living room. It may sound weird to say, but the condo didn't have any odd odors. It smelled good and if you want, the windows in the living room open to the street.

I had excellent and helpful email communications with Marie, who was our HomeAway contact person.

We ate great lobster rolls at Neptune's Oyster bar a couple of doors away (it's good to check in there ahead of when you want to eat; we waited for 1 1/2 hours after getting our name on the list -- and it was really worth the wait!). We also had tasty take out and great lobster rolls from Pauli's deli, which is right downstairs.

Great location

The property is clean and in good condition, the living area is exactly as pictured in the VRBO ad. Building was secure and the neighborhood seemed safe. The subway is a 5 min walk. From this location we easily walked the entire freedom trail and to cambridge. We enjoyed our stay- the owner or property mgr is doing a great job to produce professional results. I recommend caulking the windows in he living room. It was cold and the window next to the couch is allowing a notable draft. My only caution is this location can be noisy, people late at night and delivery trucks early. Only the noise keeps this from 5 stars.

Fantastic apartment in an amazing loction

Our family of 6 enjoyed six days in Boston with this apartment as our home base. The apartment had enough plates, bowls and utensils to meet our needs and the dishwasher was super quiet. The rest of the amenities were spot on we had everything we needed for our stay. The Internet connectivity was fast and we had 6 PCs and a few tablets on it quite a bit for the kids to do school work. We used the washer and dryer a few times and it was super convenient to have them in the unit.

The location was perfect and we enjoyed going walking through the North End and beyond most mornings. It would get a little loud in the evenings with all of the restaurants and people, but it didn't bother the people in the back rooms at all. We were so close to so much activity and history. We walked everywhere we went and felt like we saw so much of Boston on the Freedom Trail and the downtown area. Getting from the airport to the unit was a short ride in a car. We didn't have a car with us but didn't feel we needed one either.

When we come back to Boston, we'll most certainly look for this unit to be available. It was perfect!

This was one of our best rentals! Right in the middle of the North End conveniently located near everything. Condo was comfortable, updated, clean! Will definitely stay again!

Fantastic location

Stayed for 5 days for a conference downtown. Great location was in the first block of the North End. Surrounded by great restaurants.

The first floor of the building has Pauli’s, which has the BEST Lobster roll in Boston (according to the Boston herald). Good burgers, sandwiches, and breakfast. Like their clam chowder better than legal seafood. Lots of clams and cream, no filler and about 1/2 the price. Overall, prices were very low for the high quality. Menu in the apartment, you can call and walk down to pick it up, or have them deliver it.

Small grocery store across the street.

Had a very small housekeeping issue that was address immediately. Great pastry shops one street over.

Streets in the neighborhood get busy with restaurant, bar, pastry foot and car traffic. Did not hear noise in bedroom, but some street noise in living room. The price of being in the middle of it all. Lots of foot traffic walking to work every morning.

Hint: if you are doing Uber/Lift, walk the 100ft to the end of Salem St. Seems like there are a lot of one-way streets going in the “wrong” direction for getting anywhere. Super easy walking to downtown and seaport/aquarium.

Freedom trail 200ft. Old North Church is on same street, about 6 blocks away.
