*Why you'll love staying here:
- The house has a whole house humidifier which keeps the air comfortable and not super dry like most places (we lived there full time for a few years, so it's set up like an actual home, not a rental)
- We provide a variety of "extras" so you don't have to buy them when you go grocery shopping, such as tin foil, zip lock bags, coffee, flavored creamers, sugar, hot cocoa, microwave popcorn, a variety of teas, tons of spices and seasoning, extra paper towels and extra toilet paper. This will save you lots of $ when shopping.
- The view from the deck is unbelievable. The pictures don't do it justice, it's a full unobstructed view of Red Mountain, which is over 13,000' tall!
- The hot tub is super private, with the most incredible views of the starry night sky. Meteor showers are amazing!
- We have a collection of historic and fun Summit County books. Get your history on while you're relaxing after a day on the slopes.
- The large 55" flat screen HDTV in the living room has a full Xfinity cable package as well as a Blu-Ray player and a fun collection of classic, iconic movies (think Breakfast Club, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, etc)
- If traffic gets bad on I70, you can just hop on 285 in Denver and avoiding all of the traffic altogether. It's the BEST way to avoid ski traffic.
We will consider one well behaved dog, under 50lbs, for an additional fee of $100. Drop us a note with questions about your 4 legged friends.

About Dusten & Kirsten Tornow
Originally from Wisconsin, we relocated to Colorado after falling in love with the mountains and outdoor lifestyle. We lived in this house full time for a couple years before moving to Fort Collins for work. We use the house whenever it's not rented, it's our special getaway when it gets too warm on the front range or when we just need to get away from it all. We're both avid skiers and snowboarders, we love the mountains and the special charm that makes Breckenridge such a wonderful place to live and visit. Don't hesitate to reach out with questions, Breckenridge is too good not to share! **Need help planning your trip? Let us help!**

Why Dusten & Kirsten Tornow chose Blue River
We love this house! The open living room, amazing views and location are what originally drew us to this house. We love being close enough to Breckenridge to get in and out quickly, without having to deal with the crowds and parking. Located on the South end of town means that getting to and from Denver and the airport is easy! Take 285 when there is a lot of I70 traffic!
What makes this House unique
Great views of the Blue River valley, Red Mountain and Mt. Argentine. Close to the Mount Quandary trail head. Quiet neighborhood and frequent moose visits! **Need help planning your trip? Let us help!**

The house was great! Very clean and close to Breckenridge
The house and hosts were great! We had a small problem with the carbon monoxide alarm when we arrived, and the host was more than helpful and accommodating. His responses were very quick and we solved the problem quickly. I would recommend this place for small families looking for a mountain getaway,
Would stay here again!
Room arrangements and overall floor plan was great for our inter-generational group. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen well-stocked and just fun to be in (great room). Breathtaking night sky views, especially from the master bathroom. We were there for a full moon and got to see a moose cow amble up the street. Depending on the season, be prepared for a muddy driveway and/or an icy & uneven approach to the front entrance. We're accustomed to staying in places that are walkable to chairlifts, but it was nice to be a short distance out of town and have all the extra room and access to the outdoors here, especially with some non-skiing grandparents in the group. Owners are very friendly & accessible and are practically a text-message concierge service with all their knowledge of the area. The deck is fantastic, complete with hot tub, fire table and gas grill. Mealtimes were a joy.
Thanks again for the great feedback Matt. I'm glad you guys got some much great snow while visiting, that makes it so much more fun!
We loved our stay at this property! The house was very clean and well kept up. The view from the deck and hot tub is unforgettable! They provide you with all the extras you will need- makes grocery shopping simple. The house is a quick 5 minute drive to Breckenridge. We will definitely be keeping this house in mind for our next trip!!
Thanks Katie! Glad you got to enjoy some new snow! Come back any time.
Large, Quiet Getaway
We enjoyed our time at the Tornow’s lodge. Large and spacious set in a quiet area just a few minutes from Breck. The kitchen is modern and well appointed. Living room and bedrooms are very comfortable.
Lovely place to stay while in Breckinridge
We thoroughly enjoyed our ski vacation in Breckinridge at this very comfortable home. The biggest compliment you can give a VRBO is rebooking and we certainly plan on doing this in the future. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay in their wonderful home.
Beautiful, spacious house that was perfect for a ski trip! It was easy access to both Breck and Copper and I loved the open concept downstairs kitchen to living room that was very comfortable for a little apres ski. Thank you Dusten and Kirsten who were very responsive through the whole trip planning, would love to stay again.
We're so glad you enjoyed the house! The open floor plan is great for entertaining and relaxing after a long day on the slopes. Look us up next time you need a place in Breck, we'd love to have you again.
