3 Bed, 3 Bath (6 People) Magnificent Views From The Private Roof Garden +bbq Etc

Comprising a very large living space with beautiful huge round dining table and six chairs, sectional seating area, and furniture is handmade Honduran hardwood Rosita wood specially made for Mangrove Dock Condos. The whole condo is 2,000 sq. ft. including the balcony area, but the penthouse has a rooftop of an additional 2,000 sq. ft specifically for the private use of the penthouse guests. The condo is set up with three bedrooms, two as master size bedrooms with king beds, and a queen bedroom. (WE CAN OFFER 1, 2 OR 3 BEDROOM FACILITIES DEPENDING UPON YOUR REQUIREMENTS - RATES FROM $1,000 PER WEEK) There are two bathrooms, one en-suite from the master 1 bedroom which leads out onto the balcony and the other a Jack and Jill bathroom which can be accessed from the main living space as well as the second master bedroom. The condo will sleep 6 people in total.

The kitchen is fitted with beautiful Rosita hardwood units with local granite worktops and all stainless steel appliances throughout. The appliances are all US quality GE. The condo has a private laundry room with washer and gas dryer. There are many local artists paintings scattered around together with local sculptures which provide the additional modern contemporary feel to the condo.

We supply linen, towels, sufficient toilet paper and soaps to get you going and our friendly taxi driver who collects you from the airport will happily stop at the grocery store for your convenience.

On site we have a Mangrove Dock residents swimming pool which is open from 6am to 10pm where many guests relax after a hard day diving or sightseeing. The gardens are lovely and lush and there is private parking should you decide to hire a car. This is not necessary however as we are only 3 minutes gentle stroll from the Half Moon Bay beach, bars, restaurants, dive operations, shops and taxis and buses.

The wonderful roof garden,which is 1,800 sq. ft., has many facilities, a wet kitchen, bathroom with shower, basin and toilet, BBQ area, flower gardens, and very large lounging and dining area. The view from this penthouse roof garden is magnificent and has views over the ocean, the dive sites all along the coat of West End, Mangrove Bight where we are located, and the jungle areas looking inland.

The condo is some 80 ft from the water's edge where Mangrove Dock Condos are built on ironshore. we have a magnificent dock which can be used for sunbathing, fishing, or if required, water taxis can collect you for your fun day out on the water. Many of our guests from other condos have enjoyed yoga on the dock or just generally relaxing at sunset with a cocktail. We have fishermen who come up to the dock to offer fresh fish for sale.....such a beautiful spot!

We have other condos which are listed on VRBO numbers 511896, 496872 and 378250 which have been on stream for some time and you can see the reviews. This is a perfect location for a vacation very close to town and all amenities......don't be put off by there not being any reviews, this and reference 798695 are newly completed properties on the same Mangrove Dock development.

Why jackie sampson chose West End

We are the developers of this resort and have so many people asking for rental accommodation from us that we decided to start to rent units due to the fact that there are no other units like ours. They have comfort, luxury, some are waterfront and so very close to the hubbub of West End....just perfect location for holidays.

What makes this condo unique

We are built facing east and enjoy the virtually constant prevailing breezes, which are very important when staying in the tropics. Our location is perfect as we are so close too all amenities, yet away from the noise etc. of the night a quiet residential location.

Roatan has this wonderful laid back feeling where everyone is welcome, nothing is rushed, watches are not required and stress is not allowed.......come to the island and enjoy the island.

travelling down to the East of Roatan gives a different perspective as that side is very much virgin jungle and is far less populated. The town of Oakridge has much of the old ways of living still in focus with many places not accessible by road and only by water.....and why not take a trip through the mangroves and enjoy the wonderful light and scenery....second to none.

Last and certainly not least, the diving here is just wonderful. We have some very experienced dive masters and there is plenty to keep you diving for years without duplicating the outings. If you don't dive, snorkel and enjoy the sights from above, or take a trip to Pigeon Quay and watch the fish from the sandy atoll.

  • There are three bedrooms....two master size kind bedrooms with hanging units and dressing table with storage drawers. The king size bed and furniture is all in handmade Rosita Honduran hardwood and made on the island. Linens and towels are included in the rental. There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms and central air. The master bedroom 1 has glass sliding doors out onto the balcony....which leads up the roof garden via a spiral staircase. Bedroom 2 does not have this glass door, but leads out into the living area as does bedroom 3 and they are located all along one length of the condo.

Fantastic place to stay

Just returned home after a fantastic holiday and stay at this penthouse condo. The facilities and finish in the condo were superb with everything we needed during the week. The views from the upper roof terrace were absolutely fantastic, the peace and quiet just wonderful with the use of the pool and dock where we could laze and relax. A gentle stroll took us into the centre of West End…wow so many restaurants and bars to choose from and the street food…superb we ate so well. The locals are so friendly, we were really happy to have chosen here on Roatan. The managers, Bonnie and Ron were a delight to deal with, I would recommend anyone to visit and use this site to book, we will be back…thank you Jackie, you have done a fantastic job with these condos.

Owner's Response: What fantastic guests.....we were able to introduce them to the great street food on offer in West End, then up to differing levels of restaurants depending on their mood. I think they worked their way through a good number and enjoyed every meal. Many in the group used our swimming pool every morning, and sometimes late in the evening to cool off after a hot day adventuring. One guest found lazing on the dock was so relaxing watching the wildlife swooping by. We were able to introduce some of the group to all our friends and they found the local people so friendly they felt like family by the end of the vacation. I think one member of the party wanted to take a dolphin home as swimming with the dolphins (just 10 minutes away) was the best thing they had experienced in their life..... The penthouse worked superbly for such a large group as they had so much space on the roof garden and with the wet kitchen and the bathroom facilities the bbq and dining area, it was a big family party for the whole period. We try and make all our guests feel special, however big or small the gathering....this is a beautiful boutique style resort, so do come and experience our hospitality. We are offering some very special rates (for 2, 4 or 6 people) for the next few months.

Lovely stay in West End

Great, quiet location very close to all the activities in West End. The unit is lovely and has many amenities we enjoyed including the spacious upstairs deck with great views. The owner and on-site managers were very communicative and helpful throughout the booking and stay. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils and the appliances all in good working order. We enjoyed cooking and eating in the unit and there were nice outside and inside dining areas. We felt very secure in the area and walking to town was well-lit and there was an on-site security person in the evening.

Great place to stay for group of 6

We stayed here mid March 2016. Great location - walking distance to Half Moon Bay - restaurants and bars are within a 10 minute walk. We dove with Seagrape Plantation Dive shop. The dive shop was a 5 minute walk from the condo. We highly recommend diving w/ Seagrape dive shop. Great people to work with.

Regarding the condo we would definitely come back. We liked the location, low key atmosphere, and we were amongst locals. We enjoyed the conversations w/ locals (practiced our Spanish) and not being in a touristy area. We alternated between eating at the condo (doing rum shots) and eating at local restaurants.

I would recommend that Ron provide an information sheet on the area - dive shops, grocery stores. restaurants, ... general information.

Spetacular 360 Degree View!

We thoroughly enjoyed our month long stay at the Egret penthouse condo! The roof top patio has spectacular 360 degree views of the open ocean, Mangrove Bight, and West End village. We took in many sunrises, sunsets, and nightly stargazing from this expansive patio! The condo has all the comforts and luxuries of home including a barbeque and kitchen facilities on the roof top patio. The location is perfect as it is a short walking distance to West End, Half Moon Bay beach, and many dive shops. The property managers are very helpful and friendly; they live on site which makes it very convenient if one has any questions or concerns. This was our second stay at Mangrove Dock apartments and we will definitely be coming back! If you are looking for a convenient West End location with views that will take your breath away, look no further!!
