Apartment owned jointly by Sue and Neil Collinson from Leicestershire, UK. Both now retired, Neil was in financial services and still does bookkeeping for a few people on a regular basis. Sue retired from teaching in August 2008 which means we are not restricted to school holidays any more when we decide we need some sun. We have 2 children who are both grown up and have left the nest.

Why Neil chose Vilamoura
We originally holidayed here in summer 2002, our first visit to Portugal. We loved its location, atmosphere, people and facilities. It is right in the centre of the Algarve and only a 20-25 minute drive from the airport. We returned in October that year to earnestly look for an apartment somewhere close to the marina which would be rentable, yet provide us with a bolthole. Having looked at a few we found this one which had only just come on to the market and never regretted it.
What makes this Apartment unique
2 minutes to the marina (no taxi fares.) Swimming pool on-site. 6 golf courses close by. 2 superb beaches within 10 minutes. Quarteira fish and veg. market a real bonus and 2 supermarche’s very close by. We have and will continue to improve the facilities within the apartment to make it a home from home for anyone who stays here.

Always a pleasure
Another lovely stay in our favourite little apartment. Neil and Sue are always accommodating (where possible) with early check-ins and late checkouts to match flight times, and they’re always looking for ways to improve or upgrade the apartment. The fold up loungers to take down to the pool are a great little addition. We’ll definitely be back, hopefully in the not too distant future.

Lovely Apartment with good location
Apartment has everything you need, the location is good, near to Marina, Bars and Restaurants. Communication with Neil has been really good, always replied. Supermarket just down the road. Would recommend.
Went for 1 week, everything was great, Neil is a very attentive person so it makes everything easier. The house is good and central, I was only one so more then enough for me. Nice appointments , the fan and the AC makes the difference. Also it's a clean house with good amenities, like, beach towels, bikes, even water and milk (I don't drink cow milk) at the frig, nice toutch.shower has great pression. The swimming pool is quite big and comfortable. Its only 15m walk to the beach and 4 m wall to jafers a supermarket. Great tv channels. The kitchen has all you need if you want to eat at the apartment. I will return and already booked for 2019 so it means that you can go to this house with no worrys.
We always aim to make our guests stay as comfortable as possible and respond quickly to enquiries. We are always upgrading the facilities to meet the needs of our guests and will continue to do so.
The apartment has an excellent layout and contained all necessary amenities.
It was situated ideally, with the Marina 5 minutes away between which were two conjoining squares with an abundance of bars and restaurants.
We preferred the beach to the swimming pool, which became noisy and although sun beds were on display, were locked up and despite assurances from the attendant, he failed to materialise to provide that service.
The beach was however very good and an easy 20 minutes away.
A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing holiday.
I am pleased to say that since this guest's holiday and before this review was written we have purchased 2 foldable sun beds for use at the pool.
Lovely apartment in perfect location
We stayed for 10 days and the apartment was ideal. Less than 5 minutes to the marina and some very good restaurants even closer. Very clean and well equipped. Bed linen and towels were changed half way through our 10 days. Excellent communication from the owner Neil. Would definitely book again.

The apartment was very nice, quiet, clean and within easy reach of the marina.
Would have been nice if the pool had sun beds as not everyone can lie on the grass.

If it was to do with the lack of sunbeds, the grass is very comfortable (been lying on it for 13 years) and maintained in pristine condition. Sunbeds would spoil it and their would be no towels littering the place from 6am
If sunbeds are that important, Vilamoura's 2 beaches (both within 10 minutes) have a number of them
It is only a 10 minute walk to either of Vilamoura's two beaches. Pleasant sea-front walk to the older resort of Quarteira, with its daily fish and fruit/vegetable market. Quarteira also has a large general outdoor market on a Wednesday situated at Fonte Santa.
Vilamoura is only 20/25 minutes by car from Faro airport. Taxi's, buses and car hire facilities are all in or around the arrivals hall.
Long term winter lets (November to March) available at special rates, but electricity and water charges will be payable, based on consumption, on departure.
Additional information about rental rates
Booking Notes: NO BOOKINGS ACCEPTED FOR 4 PEOPLE OF SAME GENDER Check the diary on the web-site in the first instance to establish availability. Then telephone or e-mail to ensure that there has been no last minute alteration. A deposit of 50% will be payable on booking, the balance being payable two weeks before departure. A refundable deposit of £50 (or 70 euros) will be payable with the final rental. Changeover Day not fixed. Bookings taken for a minimum of 1 week normally but shorter periods would be considered out of season or at short notice. Mid-week to mid-week bookings are perfectly acceptable. See 'Further details' for longer term lettings. Notes on prices: Prices are for the property per week. Stays of 1 month or more from November to March enjoy a substantial reduction - telephone Neil for the rates for longer stays. Any price quoted for long stays will not include services, which will be payable locally on departure.
