Tranquillity, privacy and spectacular views perfectly describe this charming hilltop casita, the origins of which are thought to be as a winter livestock shelter then a wine store for produce from the property itself. Opening onto a leafy terrace, the large timber beamed bedroom has a king size mattress on a sandstone base. Three steps up through an archway is the open plan kitchen/dining/living room which opens on to another two terraces with sun lounges and al fresco dining areas. The cottage is insulated and has reverse cycle airconditioning, wood stove in bedroom and wood fire in lounge. Park your small car off street under Sa Viña’s shady lemon trees, and meander to the casita. Part of the path is quite steep but the view justifies 3 or 4 minute walk. Sa Viña is a perfect retreat for those wanting relaxation or recreation. Help yourself to seasonal fruit including grapes, oranges and figs, (delicious and chemical free). Satellite TV, DVD and CD player, Free high speed WIFI and books are there for your enjoyment.

Why Margaret Wilson chose Sóller
This is a very comfortable house, usually with cool breezes across the terrace in the summer, and fireside sofas where you can read or watch tv in the cooler weather. The bedroom is the original casita (or small house) with a 2m x 2m bed on a sandstone base. The open plan lounge/dining/kitchen was added some time ago. We made the beams by hand using a mould and table loaned by a friend's father. Recycled doors and windows were sourced from friends and neighbours and walls were constructed around them! That history is a story for another day....
What makes this Cottage unique
We love the terrace view to Soller from early morning right through to night time, when the village lights shine. Figs, grapes, oranges, lemons, pears, apricots and apples are some of the seasonal fruit you are welcome to enjoy - help yourself! There's plenty of off street parking among the lemon trees, views from the path to the house, and privacy once you arrive. We recommend a small car as some of Soller's charming streets and our shared driveway are a bit narrow. Free wifi, TV, books, maps - everything to make your stay relaxing. It's a pleasant stroll in to Soller, or to the Port for a swim.

We spent 10 glorious days in the casita - enjoying the views from the terrace throughout the day. Sóller is a lovely town and the walks from the casita (using the excellent bus service if needed) were wonderful. Plenty of useful maps and guidebooks are in the house. Drinking freshly squeezed orange juice every morning was a delight!
Many thanks Marg for all your help during the entire process ensuring we had a wonderful holiday.
Freshly squeezed orange juice is a great start to every day on your holiday. It was a pleasure to pass on ideas and hints so you could choose how to spend your days and hearing how much you enjoyed the juice and the views, the walks and Soller itself is really appreciated.
Oranges and lemons
Juicy oranges for breakfast and hot lemon drinks around the cosy fire while playing lateral thinking games and listening to the radio. Such a great set up with amazing views. The perfect place to unwind and explore a beautiful part of Mallorca. Loved Sóller with tiny narrow roads, fresh produce, old buildings and friendly people.
So happy to know you enjoyed the cosy fire and our own oranges and lemons at SaViña. Relaxing on the terrace or curled up by the fire it's important to us that your holiday is special, regardless of the weather.
Everything to our satisfaction!
We immediately fell in love with Sa Viña, of course ;-))
We slept very well; the bed is extremely comfortable and the bedlinen (etc.) as well, so we were very grateful indeed.
The fireplace is delightful (we got our daily first exercise when carrying up the free firewood), the selection of books exquisite (I needn’t have brought so many books of our own), the oranges a real treat - the kitchen tools and cutlery adequate, the shower perfect - in short: we are happy we chose Sa Vinya!
And I haven’t even mentioned how beautiful is the house itself, everything just to our taste, built, restored, renovated, decorated, redecorated with a pronounced sense of aesthetic and a great respect for the surrounding landscape and traditions. In the beginning of our three weeks' stay even the weather gods seemed to be in our favour, but then it all changed and we could no longer enjoy the fantastic view from your beautiful terrace. But the weather was like that in all Europe, with snow even in Tuscany and Venice....
All the best from Eva & Asger
It's great to hear how much you enjoyed SaViña and that everything from a comfortable bed, to fresh oranges and plenty books to read beside the fire on a cold day created such a pleasurable stay. Thank you for such a thoughtful review, and for taking the time to let us know.
Very quiet property accessed via some very narrow streets, and a lot of steps. The views and seclusion are totally worth it.
Hi Clive - really pleased to hear you loved the views and privacy at SaViña. Yes, I agree, some roads are narrow, but they contribute to Soller's appealing charm. Hope to see you another time.
Beautiful cottage with stunning views
We stayed at the cottage for three weeks in September and just loved everything about it. The cottage is full of rustic charm with amazing views of Soller and the mountains. We also had the pleasure of meeting Marg and Chris who are delightful and just the perfect hosts. Highly recommend Sa Vina to anyone to who plans to stay in the Soller area. Soller is a lovely place and we have been many times before but now we have found Sa Vina we will most definitely not be staying anywhere else and look forward to going back and enjoying another relaxing stay at this fabulous pretty cottage.
It's really great to know how much you enjoyed SaViña. You said the privacy was important and you enjoyed the views so much, specially over a glass of wine. One evening we were delighted to be invited to share the wine and views with you - thank you.
Absolutely fantastic stay at this beautiful place, which exceeded all our expectations.
We had a wonderful stay at this cottage, which exceeded our expectations. Although it has just one bedroom, there is loads of space, both inside and outside. Glorious views from different parts of terrace. Spotlessly clean, with everthing provided for a very comfortable stay. Communication with owner also excellent. Would love to come back!
Thank you for such a great review! Your wanting to come back is the best compliment and we look forward to your return…and you enjoying the views from the terrace…day and night! Marg Wilson

What previous clients have said: We have just returned home from a lovely sunny Mallorca to a wet and cold UK.We wanted to thank you and let you know that Ian had a lovely time and really enjoyed the place. It is delightful and the views from the terrace are stunning. We have friends whom we are sure would love it too and will recommend it to them.Susie. January 2014 We would like you to know that we've had a wonderful week in your nice casita Sa Vina! The whole casita is furnished and arranged with love and everything you need is there. We liked the Majorcan style with the nice flagging especially in the bathroom and the gorgeous "stone-walled" sleeping-room. We've had a real good time having breakfast in the sun on the terrace (always with your delicious oranges), and having dinner outside with this wonderful view to Sóller (always with delicious fresh lemon-water)! Maybe we can come back some day...we miss it already. Thanks a lot! We will recommend your cottage. Kind regards 04/04/11. We have been meaning to contact you to thank you for the opportunity to stay in beautiful Sa Vina in November. The weather was lovely and we were so happy to have a fire in the cool evenings after enjoying the great walks in the area during the day. 10/11/10. We have had a wonderful 2 weeks in perfect Mallorca weather with temperatures 30ºC+ so thank God for the AC in the bedroom. Sa Vina is a bloody marvel. We felt at home from the first minute.
