Awesome Vacation Getaway in Columbine Lake!

Bedrooms 4
Space 2,000 sq. ft.
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 - 3 nights

About the property

4 Bedrooms - 3 Baths - (Sleeps 11)

We welcome you to our mountain house! Our extended family has had wonderful times here and we hope yours will, too. We are proud of the condition of our home and hope you will enjoy the moose theme. In fact we have seen real moose on more than half of our visits! It's the perfect place to enjoy nature without roughing it.

Moose Hus is fully furnished so you'll feel right at home. The large living room and dining area with cast-iron gas stove and cathedral ceiling is the place where everyone gathers for TV(HD), DVD, games, and conversation. The modern kitchen is conveniently nearby.

In winter, enjoy snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, skating, and sledding. In summer, participate in hiking, boating, fishing, horseback riding, golfing and picnicking. You might even find it interesting to walk through the historic Grand Lake cemetery.

Enjoy your stay!

The garage, which can hold two cars, keeps your cars warm and dry, and also includes a washer and dryer. There is also a card table and 4 chairs for extra dining seating. The house is fully carpeted and since some of our family members have allergies, NO SMOKING and NO PETS are allowed. Columbine Lake Country Club does not permit renters to use Columbine Lake (for fishing, boating, paddle boarding, kayaking & swimming), the Clubhouse, or the Gazebo. Keep in mind when booking, that this property is located in a quiet neighborhood with owner residents. Plan on using one of the three local lakes (Grand, Granby and Shadow Mountain) for all your lake activities.

Summer Vacation July 6-13, 2009

  • 5 of 5

This house was just right for our family of 12 (9 adults, 3 children-12,9, and 3). Great living/dining space for everyone to relax and do their thing. The kids used the loft for reading and playing. The bedrooms are all good size. We never felt cramped. The kitchen is well equipped. The cabin is beautifully located in natural pine setting. Lots of great hiking trails. The unpaved streets in the Columbina Lake neighborhood are wonderful for early morning and late evening walks and jogs. The owners are very congenial and easy to work with.

Beautiful area! Very relaxing vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at Moose Hus! It was very convenient to downtown as well as the Rocky Mountain National Park. The home is very well cared for and has absolutely everything you could possibly need! Julie was amazing to work with and very resposive to every question I had.

We look forward to returning to this beautiful area again soon!

Wonderful cozy home!!

  • 5 of 5

Moose hus ia a wonderful place for a vacation. Very relaxing, very quiet, very homey. Our grandchildren loved the books in the loft and toys that were in the house. They love breakfast on the deck, and the deer that came through the front yard. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. House was very clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a washer and dryer to wash all the dirty clothes before we went home. Julie was very nice and easy to communicate and provided easy details on how to get to the house. Would recommend this house to someone who wants a relaxing quiet vacation. We loved it!!! The Holle's

This was our 2nd time to stay at the Moose Hus. The home fit everyone perfectly. The beds were very comfortable & the entire home was very clean. The neighborhood is a great place for morning & evening walks. We saw a fox & 2 moose on our first day! We look forward to our third stay at the Moose Hus.

Cozy and convenient!

  • 5 of 5

Moose Haus was great. We had 3 couples and had more than enough room to spread out. Bedrooms and beds were comfortable. Grilling on the deck each evening was a great way to relax after a long day of hiking. Grand Lake downtown is minutes away as are numerous hiking trails and great fishing opportunities in RMNP. Julie was very accommodating and allowed an early check in. We very much enjoyed our stay!
