We were a large group of 17 friends who stayed in Perast at this amazing villa at the end of May. The weather was perfect, and the accommodation was amazing. Liliana was excellent, she introduced us to local companies including paragliding and white water rafting which we used. She was always easy to contact and more than happy to help us. The villa was in a great location and in excellent condition. We loved our stay there and would recommend highly.
Paradise on earth
We spent in Mrshe Palace 1 week in August and enjoyed every minute of our stay there. The place was incredible - spacious, modern, beautiful and comfortable. It is perfect place for family vacation. After visiting nearby towns and villages we realized that Perast is an ideal place for vacation - it is small, beautiful, quiet, with no traffic and no crowded street and cafes. There are many restaurants and cafes on seafront.
But we liked long family outside evenings around dinner table
We cooked every evening in turn. There are 2 kitchens in Marshe Palace equipped so well with all appliances and cutlery of very high quality. So, cooking was easy and pleasant.
There are many books to read, lots of videos to watch, games for children. And every our request was fulfilled right away..
We were lucky to choos this place for our vacation and would come again without doubts.
We all want to thank the owner and manager of the property for our unforgettable, fantastic holiday
Wonderful Family Week
After much research over a year ago for a suitable location for our widespread 3-generation family to meet for a week for our wedding anniversary celebration, we booked Mrshe Palace, taking all of the rooms. Communication with the owner was exemplary and she helped in many ways to make this our most memorable holiday yet. Nothing was too much trouble, handled by wonderful Liliana with friendliness, politeness and close attention to our needs. Airport transfers to and from Dubrovnik, car hire, day trips, special meals, celebration dinner - all were arranged with precise efficiency. A special thanks to Migi and 'Mama'.
This was our first visit to Montenegro and we toured the whole country, discovering that the beautiful waterside village of Perast where we stayed, protected as a Bay of Kotor UNESCO site, was the jewel in the crown of Montenegrin villages.
Mrshe Palace is at least as good as any guest house / hotel in the village and we will definitely go there again - our family are clamouring for a repeat already! The building is actually two separate internally-connected large houses in single grounds. It is has been immaculately restored and beautifully fitted and furnished. The views are stunning and the terrace, where we took most of our evening meals, is a delight. We mainly self-catered and everything was available for this in two large kitchens. The only item that we missed was a microwave, but when we mentioned this to the owner on arrival, a new one was delivered immediately. We couldn't have been more comfortable.
Access is by way of steps up from the coast road in the village - only 60 steps so not an inconvenience. There is no approach by car - or anything else with wheels! Parking is hard to come by in the village and we usually left our rental vehicles at the car park by the village barrier - access to the village's narrow road is carefully restricted. This is good as the village road has lots of people all day and evening.
Our family spent much time in the village where restaurants abound and swimming is easy from the jetties. There are two minuscule beaches - one at each end of the village road. The restaurants are generally not expensive - one of our college family discovered Tuna Sandwich with chips (fries) for €3. Perast Cake at Dardin is not to be missed!
This is a dream holiday destination. We will be back.
Very clean and well located property. Good accommodation and fab views. Outside area could be better but recommend it for large groups. Steps up might be a problem for some but otherwise excellent. Central location beside restaurants and village and right on the water.
We were looking for accommodation for a large group of family and friends for our sons christening and came across this gorgeous property. The pictures on the website were fabulous and so was the reality. Absolutely gorgeous and so much space for everyone to chill out and relax. The kitchen was really well equipped, the dining room/living area catered so well for our group of 20 and there were some great surprises like the full sized ping pong table which the kids loved! The views from the garden and balconies were out of this world and the setting in Perast simply superb. Even the little corner shop in the village opened all hours and we ordered take away pizzas from one of the many excellent restaurants. I know I'm gushing but this was probably one of the loveliest places I've ever stayed and it helped to make my sons christening pretty much perfect. Would have no hesitation in recommending it.
A fantastic house in a marvelous small town
We are a Norwegian family of 5 (two adults and three teenaged children) and we stayed in the Mrshe Palace a week in end of October. We had a really good time in Perast and Montenegro. We did several nice trips into the country of Montenegro and to the mountains. We were in the national park Lovcen, and also made an very interesting trip to the Ostrog Monastery. The mountains are perfekt for hiking, and October is a very nice time of the year to do this. We also explored both Perast and the old town of Kotor. The Mrshe Palace is a story of itself - a really fantastic house. And Perast is clearly the nicest town around the Bay of Kotor.
3 mins walk to the sea where easy access to the sea is from many points (as well as a food shop) - 60 steps down to the beach from the house. Nearest market is 5 mins drive away in Risan where there is a daily market with fresh produce eg fruit, vegetables, cheese, olive oil, honey etc.
Dubrovnik airport is approx 40 miles away and 1 hour by car. Dubrovnik has the greatest number of flights and carriers coming from various destinations from across Europe. Tivat airport in Montenegro is 20 minutes drive (16 miles) by car and the closest airport.
Podgorica Airport is 35 miles away.
Car hire recommended and available at each airport.
Kotor is 6 miles, Budva 20 miles, Tivat 16 miles & Dubrovnik 40 miles.
Other places: Herceg Novi 15 miles. Lake Skadar 25 miles (wonderful for bird watching).
The property is minutes away from the Bay of Kotor known for its very calm and clean waters. There are many places just mins from the property to access the sea, and within a 10 mins drive there are several beaches. Perast is a beautiful, unspoilt small town (500 people) which has a number of simple but good local restaurants. Local trips by boat or by road to places such as Kotor, Budva, Cetinje and Dubrovnik provide great interest. There are many historic buildings eg Roman site with tiles just 10 mins away by car and many churches and monasteries to visit. Taking a boat (we can recommend) allows you to explore beaches and restaurants only accessible by boat. The natural beauty is amazing. There are also a number of very fine restaurants close by, and a great fish wholesalers where fresh fish and seafood can be bought daily.
