Our 2nd floor condo is is very comfortable, clean, and simple; with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this condo can sleep up to 6 people. There is a king bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom, and a pullout couch. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and the living room has an AC unit. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washer and dryer in the unit also. We have dedicated, in unit, password protected wifi, easy access to the elevator, and parking is free for all guests. This is a great little condo in a very well kept condominium complex. Kanai A Nalu is centrally located on the island of Maui, less than 10 miles from the airport. The condo is located on Sugar Beach in southern Maui. Just steps from the condo is 3 miles of quiet, uninhabited white sand beach. The view from the balcony overlooks the pool and the ocean. The Condo is within walking distance of the Maui Aquarium, Maalaea Harbor, miniature golf, bumper boats, a few restaurants, gas station, and a convenience store.

Nice, clean condo in a wonderful location. . .
I recently spent two weeks in #213 and loved it. Communication with the owner was easy, and the condo is obviously well-cared for. The sliding door was so clean when I walked in the first time I thought the cleaner had left it open! The balcony looks out over the courtyard and the pool, and beyond that is the beautiful ocean. It's just a few short steps to the beach - there's a small one in front of the complex and then you can walk south to the very long beach that goes all the way to Kihei.
The bed is comfortable and the complex was reasonably quiet during the time I was there. There seems to be a mix of full time residents and short-term renters. The grounds are very well maintained (I saw the manager/yard guys multiple times daily).
Maalaea itself is quiet, which was really nice if you're looking to get away from crowds and noise. There are a couple of markets within walking distance with limited products, but decent in a pinch. I do wish there was a closer large grocery store but found that Foodland in Wailuku was only about a 10 minute drive (easier than going into Kihei, in my opinion).
I would definitely rent this condo again, and highly recommend the Kanai a Nalu complex in general.
We enjoyed the location of the property right on the beach.
So nice to get up in the morning and listen to the ocean, grab a cup of coffee and walk the beach without having to drive there. When we chose to go to other beaches it was nice to have beach chairs, cooler and towels. Master bedroom is very nice as are both bathrooms. The second bedroom is two twin beds and not conducive to combine for a second couple. The couch and pullout is extremely uncomfortable with a very thin mattress. Overall we made it work for the 5 adults and enjoyed our stay.
The location is central to every place we chose to go to. This is our first time at this unit. We have used the Maaleaa area on two other occasions, while a bit nicer, they were on the beach but not direct access like this unit is.
For the price, it is well worth staying at.
Immaculate, great location, beautiful view
The property was as represented. The location is quiet and steps to the ocean. Beautiful beaches to walk along, saw sea turtles right in front of the condo. The condo was very clean and stocked with plenty of towels and linens Fully stocked with lots of pool toys and snorkeling gear as well. The beds were very comfortable, and kitchen stocked with the basics. Short drive to the airport and grocery stores. Highly recommend staying here.

We loved this condo! The location is within 20 minutes of Lahaina and 20 minutes of Kihei if you're interested in exploring beaches! Oh and walking distance from the harbor where you can take a fishing charter or a snorkel boat! During low tide the beach in pictures is accessible but if not there is a beach within a few steps that is great for boogie boarding but waves are also calm enough for little ones and snorkeling! We saw a lot of fish and many sea turtles without even getting in the ocean! The pool was warm and the view from the lanai is even better than pictures! The kitchen has basic seasonings for grilling outside and the beds were vey comfortable! They have a closet full of beach fun including snorkeling gear and pool toys! It was seriously the best set up we could ask for! Dont let this smoking hot deal pass you by!!!
Immaculate, quiet, great location, beautiful view!!
The owner was fantastic to communicate with and gave speedy responses. The property was as represented and even included more than what is pictured. Quiet location, rooms were kept cool when it was 85 degrees and no bugs were seen in the unit. Lots of supplies were included for the beach (snorkeling equipment, 4 lawn/beach chairs, beach umbrella, sand toys, beach bag, beach towels), personal use and we cooked all of our meals with the cookware provided. There's a toaster, mixer, crock pot and sufficient cookware and dinnerware. My husband fixed burgers on the outdoor grills also. Lots of space for the 5 of us and our belongings. The beds were very comfortable and the condo was immaculate. A washer and dryer in the kitchen made it very handy for doing laundry. Bedrooms have ceiling fans and there are also portable fans plus AC in the main area. Lots of linens are provided. My teen-aged grandkids liked the outdoor heated pool and admired the manicured landscape and beautiful flowers and walks on the adjoining beach. There are outdoor water hoses and carts for transporting items up the elevator to the second floor condo. The airport is a short drive away and the central location was perfect for all of our outings around the island. The aquarium is walking distance and there are several restaurants. This condo is highly recommended for anyone who would like a quiet area for their stay in Maui plus access to wherever they desire. We would definitely rent it if we return to Maui.

There are a few dining options are available at The Shops at Maalaea Village (1/2 mile walk). There are two main dine-in restaurants facing the harbor: Beach Bums, which is famous for their BBQ and live music during happy hour and Seascape Maalaea Restaurant, specializing in island-inspired seafood dishes. In addition to these two dining restaurants, there are also sandwich and ice cream/shaved ice shops in the area. If you need basic grocery items, there is a general store which also sells espresso and bakery items. A Carl’s Jr. is located another block north.
