Approximately 15 minutes walk from the house is a touristic village Pedras d’el Rei which has a shop, cafés and a restaurant, playground and gardens. Luz de Tavira is about the same distance and has more amenities.
Stunning Algrvean beaches are a beautiful 15 minutes walk away, there is a footbridge crossing the river and leading to Barril beach, which can be reached wither by foot or by miniature train, all year round. Terra Estreita is reached by boat from Santa Luzia during the summer season.
A car is not at all essential, though recommended during the height of summer…and for reaching all the beautiful and interesting places further afield. Car rental, taxi transfers and bicycle hire can be organized with local reputable firms in advance or by calling the local representative.
Reached via country lanes pertaining to the EcoVia pedestrian and cycle path circuit. A 5 min drive from villages and main roads.
This location is quiet and peaceful yet not too remote, there are a handful of residents in the neighbourhood.
