Nice Reminiscent Florida 50’s style home.

  • 5 of 5

After viewing the house on line we were pleasantly surprised it exceeded our expectations. It was immaculately clean and fully equipped kitchen including a milk shake maker. The location is in a quiet neighbor with shopping nearby. There is a short walk to the water. Highly recommend this house. We will definitely return. Easy access to Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte area.

Relax in this quiet sanctuary with 50s charm

  • 5 of 5

What a very nice place to spend our time. The property is set back in a quiet location of Charlotte Harbor. Only a very short walk to the waterfront park.

The house is tastefully decorated in true 50s style and was a joy to be in. The leather couches are very comfortable. Lots of windows to let in natural light and view the spectacular landscape. Love that the house sits at an angle on this corner lot. The original Terrazzo floors throughout are wonderful.

The home is very well stocked and was the Cleanest home we have stayed in. There was even 2 Bottles of wine and a small milk in the frig for us. Nice! Thank you BJ.

BJ was a delight to meet and very helpful. Phil her brother was very friendly and would come over every few days with a leaf blower (quiet) to clear the patio and walks. Thank you Phil. We loved the screen room and the sun room. Had dinner in both, What a joy. There is a lot to do in this area. But this location is tucked away and quiet. We walked to the water every night to watch the sun go down. Punta Gorda is just across the bridge and has lots to offer. We found it just a joy to be in the home and relax to the sounds of the wind in the trees and the birds in the air. Very peaceful and comfortable.

We will be back again to this nice little retreat.

Charming vintage house in peaceful setting

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent a very relaxing week at this wonderful house in Port Charlotte. The house has been lovingly restored with vintage 50's features. We loved the pink and turquoise kitchen that was both retro and well equipped for today's cooks. The house is very comfortable with lots of sitting areas. BJ was an excellent host who was available for questions when we had them. The house is a block from the water, and we were able to see beautiful sunsets from the benches there. A great place, particularly for guests who like to cook and who want a tranquil setting. We would gladly return to this house.

Fun Retro Experience

  • 4 of 5

Driving up to this home, we were welcomed by a driveway lined with palm trees! When we first walked in, we found a very welcoming, cozy, comfortable and clean home! This home is decorated in aqua, taking you back to the 50's. Stove top, oven, counter top all give you that 1950's feel. And yes, the malt maker you see in the photos does work. There's no carpet but nice size rugs to keep your feet warm. Two of the three beds were very comfortable. We didn't use the third bed. There is only 1 bathroom but it was good size and did work for us. There was a beautiful lanai and a nice laundry room as well. The yard was large but not fenced in. It was very weedy and some of the weeds were hard to pull off our pet. We did encounter lots of ants in the kitchen. I'm hoping they will be taken care of soon. Overall, our stay was very nice. Thank you BJ for preparing your home for our visit.

Great vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

The house is really cute and decorated very nicely, loved the '50's' touches. It was spotless and well supplied with lots of towels, cleaning products, and cookware and cooking utensils. The neighborhood was very quiet but close to shopping and restaurants. The waterfront park one block away was a great place to walk and watch the sunset. I would definitely recommend this property, I'm hoping to return next year for a longer stay.
