Amazing views of rural Tuscany!
This beautiful apartment is located between San Giminiano and Volterra. Count an hour before you reach Sienna and Florence. If you have children, the pool will be a major plus considering the heat of the Tuscan summer. Our host Mike has plenty of tips to share with his guests and be sure to follow his advice when it comes to fine dining!
Daniel, thank you for your review of Vista La Grande. The pool is great for children with a uniform depth, no deep end!! and really does take the heat off during the hot summers. I am glad that you found our guides informative and helpful.
I do hope you are able to visit us again in the future.
Loved our week here
What a beautiful part of the world. We have stayed with 7 apartments during our 6 week trip. Mike's communication and information was the most helpful and complete. We loved the wildlife - saw a badger, deer, hare and lizards. On our last morning we spotted the wild boar and his family trotting over a nearby hill. We had day trips to Lucca and Pisa, Florence, Sienna and a few days at San Gimignano. The pool was a real bonus and we really enjoyed it. The gravel road was fine even after heavy rain. Whilst it is serene and remote the nearest amazing restaurant is only 5 mins up the road at il castagno. Glad we chose this as our Tuscan base.
Margaret, thank you for your review of La Vista Grande. I am really glad that you found our guides useful, I try to keep them as relevant as possible.Wild boar!! I seen them and eaten them a number of times!!
Il Castagno restaurant has recently been refurbished and has good locally sourced food!
I do hope to welcome back to La Vista Grande one day soon.
Space to relax
We spent a week in the apartment and enjoyed it very much. It has everything one needs for a nice vacation and quiet relaxation in abundance. The property is at the end of a gravel road. It is close to Volterra & San Gimignano. Siena and Florence are each about 90 min away. Good location for excursions and the patio and pool are great for days where one simply wants to do nothing.
Frank, thank you for your review of Vista La Grande.
It is a great place to unwind and being central we are close to all the attractions that Tuscany has to offer. I do hope that you will visit us again in the future.
Very clean. Very quiet. Very relaxing.
The property was one apartment in a group of apartments in a refurbished farmhouse. It was very quiet and relaxing. The gardens were beautiful. My son loved the pool. About an hour drive from Siena, Florence and Pisa. So a nice central location. Near wine country so we did a wine tasting, which was fun.
Rebecca, thank you for your review of Vista La Grande. I am so glad that you all had a lovely time, I love the pool as well as it's situated in a nice breezy area so it's not too hot!!. Well I hope to welcome you back to La Vista Grande one day soon.
Brilliant villa in beautiful location.
The property exceeded our expectations, it was clean and obviously well looked after; and as importantly, very well equipped.
Mike's directions to the property and communication were of great use- an important feature.
The views from the villa were breath taking, and Mike had obviously put a great deal of thought into ensuring that our stay was truly memorable.
We loved the local tourist destinations and also enjoyed relaxing and food shopping in the nearby towns and villages; we felt this represented a 'real' Italian experience.
We took the opportunity offered by the relatively remote location of the villa to just sit back and relax; this was an important feature of our holiday in Tuscany.
We regularly take holidays in villas, apartments and cottages and this apartment has to rank as one of the best.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of La Vista Grande. My apartment has a mix of rustic charm and all the modern equipment that you need. I am also so pleased that you both found the information I provided useful - this is a beautiful part of the world so I like to ensure you see the best of it. To say your stay exceeded your expectations is a huge compliment - thank you !!!. I hope to be able to welcome you back to La Vista Grande soon.
Tuscany I adore you
La Vista Grande was amazing. Mike provided all the info we needed to find our way to this remote spot. The views from every window and space are breathtaking. We definitely experienced some of the flavours of Tuscany each day, including some much needed sun. we did have a few house issues but Mike did try his best to get them attended to. Being remote means it doesn't get done fast. The dirt road leading over to the villa is really narrow and really bumpy so be prepared for that. I'd recommend a bit better signage for the corner when coming off the main road as we missed it initiallly.thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us Mike.
Dear Brigitte, thank you for your review of La Vista Grande. With San Gimignano, Volterra and several other villages close by La Vista Grande is indeed situated in a lovely part of Tuscany and has fantastic views. I really do appreciate that you like our guides and that they have helped enhance your vacation.
Glad that we resolved the house issues, my maintenance man was there the same day that I raised them.
We now have a new sign that is placed at the entrance, it's an olive green colour so hopefully will not be missed.
We do have a road maintenance plan for the shared Tuscan white road, 5 times a year and have just had some maintenance done in the past couple of weeks so its alot smoother. I am very pleased to hear so many positive comments about your stay so I'm grateful that you have taken a few moments to share your experience.
