excellant value and great locaton
The family and I have stayed at Casa Pretoro many times during the ski season. Located in the interesting old hill town of Pretoro, within easy reach of the picturesque Passo Lianciano ski resort. Possibly the best resort in the area to learn to ski, with Sergio’s an eating delight not to be missed. The accommodation is comfortable with view s down to the sea at Pescara. Roy and Christine are welcoming hosts with extensive knowledge and contacts in the area.
A great location to explore the area.
thank you kind sir we aim to please as do the local restuarants and the ski resort workers with whome we have a great relationship
We loved Pretoro, a great feel of real Italy. Roy and Christine were great hosts and having young children we were made to feel very welcome and relaxed. Our 6 year old twin boys loved the swimming pool that we could use nearby and also the lake which Roy recommended to us, a nice drive away with amazing views and great facilities. We ate out at a lovely restaurant a short walk away, so reasonable and a great take away service which we used a couple of times. The apartment was perfect very clean and well equipped, a nice big open space garden too which our boys loved to run around in with Sophie the dog. A great holiday had by all.

thank you verry much it was lovely to have such a lovely young family enjoy or holiday home and our village and surounding abruzzo countryside
thank you for your responce in danish we found you all verry good guests and it was nice to see you enjoy our village and abruzzo oh and the food and wine
Great location, great hosts
Have visited Casa Pretoro many times and would highly recommend it as a base for numerous outdoor activities. Whilst Roy and Christine aren't sports people themselves they are well informed or 'know a man who knows'. The village is quaint, old style Italian, so don't expect McDonalds, rather partake of the local food which is usually simple, delicious and inexpensive. Skiing is close by at either Passo Lanciano or Mamma Rosa, though it's not a Salbach or a Chamomix, but then neither are the prices. Other, more testing resorts are a drive away.
The apartment layout is unusual but very comfortable, wifi is available if needed. I'm sure we'll be back.
Beautiful accommodation in a hidden part of Italy
We had a perfect stay at Roy and Christina’s B&B in Pretoro. The location (Pretoro) is village with great charm and history. 20 minutes to the sea and the surroundings are beautiful close to the Majella national park. Perfect holiday both for relaxation and/or more active holidays with long walks in the Majellas where trails are in perfect conditions.
Thanks again Roy and Christina for your great hospitality. We will most certainly be back.
thank you kind sir
Coast/Beach: 20 mins drive to Adriatic coast, glorious sandy beaches suitable for small children. Travel: Pescara Airport 35 mins, Rome airport 2 hours, Ancona 90 minutes. Distances: Pretoro is a few minutes walk away with shops, Chemist, Doctors surgery, and excellent restaurants. very good cheap food. In Abruzzo restaurants cater for the locals and love to cater for foreigners to show how good their food is, so there is no tourist restaurants with expensive menus.
