Why Debra Robson chose Los Alcázares
I absolutely adore this area and with every visit I feel a great sense of peace and tranquility from the location. It's great being able to go for long morning walks with beautiful scenery and to just wake up to the sound of the sea. There is something new to enjoy every time we go, with a huge choice of restaurants in the square at Rio Nalon where you can enjoy everything from fine dining through to burgers, pizzas, steaks, Asian or Mexican cuisine.
What makes this Apartment unique
It's fabulous being right on the sea front - it's so tranquil as it's a beautiful lagoon. But equally if you walk along the promenade you can reward yourselves with ice cool beer at the array of beach bars that line the route! There is no shortage of restaurants to tempt you either. If it's Golf you are looking for there are 7 exceptional quality golf courses all within easy reach of the apartment. And shopping is just a 10 min walk away.

Really nice, well equipped and very clean apartment.
Very well located, near to the beach and beach bar. As already said, the apartment is excellent. The one and only downside is the fact that the main area for good restaurants is a good 30 minute walk away. The beach itself is a bit “crumbly” and the sea water a bit “sea weedy” and, is about 5 degrees warmer than the open sea.
Lovely Apartment and location
Lovely apartment. Nicely decorated. Good wi-fi, air-conditioning and british tv channels. Kitchen seems well equipped but we didn't eat in as was reasonable to eat out. The apartment over looks gardens which are well kept as is the pool area. Spinosa restaurant is a couple of minutes from the apartment and serves gorgeous food at reasonable prices, is very chilled atmosphere and right on the beach, we ate here quite a few times. This is the quieter end of the 10km (I think) coastal path which is a fantastic walk, very pretty and clean with good selection of beach bars and restaurants along the way. Took us about an hour to do the entire length and then stopped at a small restaurant (next to the irish bar, can't remember the name of it!) which serves the best garlic prawns we have ever had! Sat outside over looking the beach for couple of hours before wandering back! There are quite a few 'looky looky's' selling their goods on the beach, though they are respectful when you decline and do not pester you. The location seems to be used by a really nice mix of locals and tourists, though we were there in June, not sure what it would be like in the height of summer. We did walk into the square one night, which is nice but bit to commercialised and busy for us. Took us about 20mins from the apartment, along the coastal path and then you cut through by the boat club. We did eat in Angela's, which is just on the outskirts of the square and the food and staff there were lovely. There is a supermarket at the end of the main road to the apartment which is advertised as basic essentials but to be honest, seemed to stock everything the same as the larger supermarkets. I have given the apartment 4 stars just on a few minor things. Could do with some new shower heads and the en suite could do with a shower door. I couldn't use it to wash my hair without getting water everywhere, so had to use the downstairs one. Could also use some new outdoor furniture cushions for the chairs on the balcony and maybe some for the sun beds on the terrace but all in all a lovely, relaxing holiday.
Thank you for your lovely review...
Just to pick up on your points,
There are brand new cushions for the sun loungers under the bed upstairs, and the terrace cushions (also new) are usually kept indoors in case of bad weather and moved outside when needed.
Re showers... both heads were replaced this year, unfortunately none of the builders we have approached have been able to source a bespoke and small enough screen to fit upstairs... however as it’s all marble it’s ok to deal with splashes!
I’m pleased you enjoyed your holiday and thanks again for the booking x
BEAUTIFUL APARTMENT IN A FANTASTIC LOCATION
We stayed for one week at this gorgeous duplex apartment in May 2018, and had such a good time and felt so much at home that we could have stayed on another week !
Located right at the beach, it's just steps away from the beautiful promenade that takes you around the Los Alcazeres coastline.
Fully equipped kitchen, three stunning very comfortable bedrooms, and a well decorated lounge. The apartment has three terraces, and particular the roof terrace off the master bedroom is a sun trap, whilst the terrace off the lounge is a fantastic place to sit and have breakfast or lunch, or just relax and take in the surroundings.
This place has everything you need for a comfortable stay, it's stylish and spotless, and will definitely be top of our list for a return visit to the region.
I should also mention the security in the complex - staff were very friendly and helpful, and you often will see them patrolling the grounds, as well as manning the entrance.
Apartment = well looked after and clean
Don't believe the location given by the HomeAway app - it's the Nueva Ribera apartments close to the Spinosa restaurant. The apartment is well looked after, clean and has everything you need e.g. I think there were 3 different ways to make the coffee. The top balcony is nice and secluded and out of the wind and the lower balcony gives a good view of the sea. Plenty of kite surfing goes on to add to the visual spectacle. The block the apartment is in and the one next to it are well kept. The surrounding areas will need some economic revival of Spain before looking better. The area is the development before the airport but as only 2-3 planes land a day it's no hardship. The airport was being used by the Spanish version of the Red Arrows so actually quite entertaining for us. Food/drink are all good value in the area. A cafe stop for 4 people will be €5-6 not £15 in a UK Starbucks.
Superb venue for our New Year celebrations
The apartment suited our needs perfectly.
The position overlooking the Mar Menor gave us great views from the 2 balconies and meant a short cycle ride or 20 minute walk to the town centre with its numerous cafes and restaurants.
The apartment has recently been refurbished and is very comfortable and clean providing everything one could need.
The apartment is surrounded by manicured gardens and there is a good security presence.
All in all I would highly recommend this apartment.
Great Keith... many thanks for the review amd Im delighted you enjoyed your stay! You also benefited from some exceptional winter sun with highs of 24% .... Debra
I have been here for just 4 days and I felt to write a review to say how pleasant our stay is so far. Debra has been tremendously helpful thus far and couldn't ask for a better host. The weather is around 24 degrees and we cannot believe it is October. Food in the area is wonderful, and you can dine out affordably without worrying to break the bank. Beach is lovely and the bar / restaurant on the front of the apartment is beautiful. Definitely booking to come back again same time next year

Much talk has been circulating the internet with rumors about the up and coming major theme park that is going to be built in Spain. There are actually hearsays about which major company will set up base in Spain. Disney is one of the names that is mentioned about this issue. Just to clear things up, Disney is not setting up a new franchise in Spain, but Paramount Pictures is. The Paramount Theme Park will be built on a lot measuring around 1.59 million square meters, located close to Alhama de Murcia at the intersection of RM2 and RM23. In relation to specific details about the Paramount Theme Park, plans are yet to be announced in the next few months, but one thing is for sure, it will certainly be something that will give visitors a good reason to come and visit Murcia, and boost its tourism industry.
