Why Les and Maureen Morton chose Inver

We have always loved going on holiday to Donegal. The white sand beaches, the cliffs, the fantastic views and great bars and restaurants meant we always came back.

It was important to us to have a house on the beach in a peaceful location but with good accessibility. Jib Luff is easy to get to but is in a location that could not be bettered in our opinion. It took us a very long time to find the house searching the whole of NW Ireland. It is close to all modern life needs in Donegal town and is not isolated like many properties in Donegal. It is also close enough to do your shopping in the north which is much better value.

What makes this house unique

Jib Luff has been architect designed and it shows. The interior is state of the art with oak and marble floors, granite worktops, surround sound system for music and TV and jacuzzi bath.

The views from the living area and 2 of the bedrooms are stunning. You are right on the beach and can hear the sea. The furniture is new and of excellent quality. There are very few house like this in the west of Ireland and even fewer that are available to rent for holidays!

Guestbook comments from the manager

Just spent a fantastic week. House great with amazing views. Had a 15 year old with us who amazingly had a great time.!!. We also had our dog .Was a great location for sight seeing and relaxation. Loved hearing the sea from the house. In the words of our teenager " It's decent like" we really hope to rebook next year.

The lovely and quiet Jib Luff

  • 5 of 5

On arrival at this beautifully quiet location, the house felt very homely and we settled in quickly with the kids disappearing to the rocky shore line for a bit of beach combing. Ideally located within easy striking distance to Donegal Town and made a great base to enjoy the local beaches like St Johns Point and Rossnowlagh, Slieve League and Bundoran. Facilities at Jib Luff where very modern with a equipped kitchen and comfortable furnishings. Would recommend this location to any family wanting a good base with a quiet location.

This is a superbe house set in idyllic surroundings This was our first time holidaying at home for quite a few years so you sometimes forget that we have some fantastic secenery and coast line on our own door step Jib Luff is situated very close to all of this wonderful secenery and coast line and also to Donegal town itself and is an excellent base from which to explore the surronding area.Cassidys shop at the top of the road is very convenient for any food shopping and if you want to go for a night out in Donegal Town i would recomend Gallaghers Taxis very helpful and very punctual.Would not hesitate to stay here again

Thanks again Maureen and Les

Inver Port House

  • 5 of 5

Brilliant house - photographs on the site are accurate. Spacious rooms all finished to a high standard. The bathrooms were particularly well equipped. Can't think of anything that was lacking. It was lovely sitting at the patio doors overlooking the pier and sea. Rocky beach, sandy when tide out, only yards away. Great for the 'wee dog'! Other beaches nearby - favourite was Narin / Portnoo about 35 minutes away though longer coming back due to Nancy's pub / restaurant in Ardara. Communication with Les and Maureen was first class.

Would have no hesitation in recommending Tiff Luff to anyone.

We have just spent a week at this property with my mum and dad and teenage daughter. The views are simply breathtaking overlooking donegal bay. My husband and daughter fished in the bay and caught fresh mackerel. There was no internet in the house which I thought was going to be a problem with a teenager, but she managed to occupy her time with satellite TV and DVD's. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the cleaner who lives 3 miles away. She gave us some local immediate information, but the house is full of guide books. The furthest we travelled was the giants causeway about 2 and a half hours away. There is plenty to see and do and Letterkenny is only about 40 minutes away. The owner Maureen couldnt have been more helpful and was willing to share points of interest by email. The house is a touch of luxury and we had a brilliant stay and would definately go back again. This was a real little gem.

Schöne Lage und Ausstattung des Hauses

  • 4 of 5
