Great place to stay and play!
The "Cottage" is really a home on beautiful Lake Pleasant which has over 400 acres of fishing and boating waters. The owner, Kenny D
has the dwelling well appointed and his parents (next door) are so willing to help us enjoy our stay by sharing their knowledge of the area's restaurants, stores and local attractions. The pontoon boat is available for rent at a far more reasonable rate than the local marina's ( $1,000 per week) and really made our 30 day stay so enjoyable. Would definitely recommend this great place!
We had a great week.! The cottage was well equipped and Kenny's parents were kind and helpful. Having a pontoon to rent really made the stay exceptional. Great week, we would definitely rent here again!
Great place to spend a few days to relax and get away.
Thanks Kenny! The house is really nice. We enjoyed the lake, a golf course and some great sunsets ! Your Dad next door helped with anything we needed, he's a good guy. The fishing wasn't as good as normal because of the wind and weather but I no how good it is having fished it for years. I'll be contacting you to rent it again. Thanks so much !
Kenny's Lake House
The outdoor property and lake was very nice. We were disappointed that there was no boat available for rent on this property as we expected, according to Kenny. Inside was clean and comfortable but mostly outdated. We slept very well in the king size bed with it's firm mattress. Kenny's father was right next door and always available for assistance. A list of attractions, stores and restaurants with locations would have been helpful, since we had not been to this area before. The highlight of our week was going to Shipshewana and The Wild Winds Buffalo Preserve.
It was fine
My family had a good time at the lake. It was clean and things were provided. There wasn't a boat for all the family to use. No beach front at all. But lots of room and a great time by all.
We loved staying here. We would recommend it to anyone. It was very clean and comfortable. The beds felt hard at first, but we slept really good. The sunsets are great. Never got up early enough to see a sunrise. The swim area is nice. Pretty solid 10-12' out then somewhat mucky. But as you go out further, there is a sandbar you can stand up in that is very shallow. The grand kids also loved it. Kenny's parents next door were very helpful and friendly. There to answer any questions you may have. Nice big yard between the house and the water. Only problem is it slopes all the way down to the lake. The pontoon wasn't ready for us, but that wasn't a concern for us. All in all, it was a great vacation spot. Helpful hint #1: Leave your car keys upstairs, unless you don't mind doing stairs more than you need to> Hint#2: The marina does rent pontoons.
