Spacious And Private - South Facing Pool/spa - House With A Special Feeling

On a half acre property in a 2,700 sq. ft. house plus 2 car garage with a 40 foot pool and 6 person spa: Cozy but spacious house with spectacular view but still within walking distance to everything! Golf, tennis, El Paseo shopping, hiking ,spas, restaurants and theaters all just minutes away - this is the best location in the desert! The house is designer decorated, full of character and warmth ........ and completely equipped. Has a cook's kitchen with gas stove and two ovens. The back side faces south and is wrapped around the pool to take advantage of the all day sun - you won't want to leave. The entire south side pool area is completely private and secured with a 6 foot wall. Wonderful for entertaining and so comfortable. Spacious kitchen open to sunny kitchen nook and large dining room - which is open to an entertaining size living room featuring an intimate sitting area by a rock fireplace with a gas log-set - must mention the grand piano. The master suite is quite special with a California king bed. The two guest bedrooms - king and queen beds - are more than comfortable. One also has a complete office set-up with printer phone and TV. Four cruiser bikes are included for your use.

We live in the house for much of the November to May time frame but have 4 weeks or so that we are away - when we offer the house for rent.

We have owned property in the area since 2004. Now have our final (third) one purchased in October 2015. We waited a long time to find it. It has everything we want: a fun, happy, sunny, warm house where Karen can paint (Google: karencurrystudio ) and I can work (Google Hydrovane self steering) ........... and our family can enjoy special times.

What's not to like about it! In a very special neighborhood and so close to everything. During the year we travel a lot but when home in the desert there is no need to venture far.

What makes this house unique

We love having the house to ourselves - just the two of us. But we also enjoy entertaining - perfect for that too .......... and best with all the family at Christmas.

Living the California Dream

Living the California dream is what it felt like for our family for one beautiful week in the Curry’s home.

From the moment we opened up the front door and saw all the gorgeous detail of eclectic furniture to beautiful piano and candles, just very warming and inviting. We were impressed!!

All 3 bedrooms were perfectly equipped with comfy bedding and we slept great every night.

The kitchen had everything we needed and to look out the sink window out to the mountains and sun setting is pretty amazing!

Then there’s the pool, spa, outside living space and we used every corner as all areas were set up perfectly with shade and sun when and where you wanted it, even had a fresh lemon with our water from one of the fruit trees….

We were just a few blocks from El Paseo and took advantage of that as well, choosing to walk some mornings/ evenings to enjoy, great shopping, lots and lots of different restaurants, , from Greek to French and Seafood/steak places.

No negatives to be said…

Great memories….

Very clean. Excellent location.

The house, pool and location are all delightful. The home is full of wonderful artwork. The furnishing are eclectic and comfortable. The location could not be better; very close to many stores and fine restaurants. The weather was great. A very relaxing two weeks. Good kitchen with open shelving, garden window and good storage ad counter space. Plenty of dinnerware and glassware. Very responsive and helpful owners.

Welcoming & beautiful home in a perfect area in Palm Dessert

We stayed here for 11 days in January/February 2016 and wished we could have stayed longer! We loved everything about John & Karen's new place. When we first walked through the doors we knew this was no ordinary rental. Artwork adorns every wall (most painted by the very talented Karen!). Comfy throws, candles, decorative pieces are creatively arranged throughout this house. Other rentals are stripped bare so renters can't "wreck" the owners personal things, but not here. It feels like you are visiting friends for the weekend! The kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots and serving pieces - even real silverware!!. The cupboards were well stocked with spices etc. and we appreciated the permission to help ourselves. Having 2 King sized beds is really nice if you have 2 couples using the house. My only negative about the whole house if that we found the master King bed very hard. The Master bedroom & bathroom are huge and the step in shower is so appropriate to the Mid-Century feel of this part of Palm Dessert.

Their private back yard is even better than the house! There are numerous places to sit and lounge either in the sun or under protective cover. The pool is beautiful and the hot tub was the perfect place to wind down at the end of the day. We didn't use them, but it was nice to have the option of using the bikes provided. It is an easy walk to El Paseo where you will find numerous excellent restaurants and shopping. Grocery & liquor stores are close by.

We would have no problems renting John & Karen's home again - just have to convince them to stay away for longer period so we can extend our rental next time!!

We do hope that you will make a return visit - we would love to have you back although you have hit the nail on the head - it is hard to stay away from here for too long! We appreciate your comments on the master bedroom mattress - we will definitely be doing some shopping soon in order to upgrade our existing one. The LIVING DESERT is a must with its botanical gardens, zoo and hike on Mount Eisenhower. Not far away Palm Springs has a very impressive Art Gallery as well as the buzz of a very happening town. The Valley has so many major events like the Indian Wells Tennis tournament (the 5th major), Dinah Shore Golf Tournament, Coachella Music Festival. There are 125 golf courses in the valley - golfers' paradise. The bonus is the weather: clear blue days with low humidity and lots of warm sunshine.
