A fantastic apartment in a safe location on the second floor of an historic building overlooking world famous Magazine Street. This is the ideal location to be in New Orleans! Shopping, coffee shops, streetcar, and restaurants are all within easy walking distance. We have put a lot of time and thought into making this apartment great, and it resides above our business, so we ask that our guests treat our space with respect, and to keep the noise level down to a minimum during our store hours. The building was built in the 1880's, and although it is very solid, it does not have the insulation and soundproofing of modern day buildings. Many of our furnishings are antique, and will need to be treated nicely. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed, no exceptions. Parking is on the street. It is 2 hrs only in the block the apartment is located between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., though you may park for an unlimited time in the next block, an easy walk to the place.

The apartment is in a safe location in New Orleans, right in the heart of a busy intersection of the Garden District. There are many fun shops and restaurants just steps away. You may not want to leave the apartment, though, as it is light, spacious, and calming. Being in the apartment is like being in a tall tree house overlooking the hustle and bustle of Magazine Street. It is truly and oasis!

Everything was great. We had been prewarned about noise from the bar next door, but we didn’t have an issue sleeping. Extremely large and spacious. Furniture was very nice and comfortable. Kitchen is not equipped for real cooking, but could certainly make breakfast. Duncan was responsive to all our questions. Uber’s were plentiful. The location was perfect- walking distance to whatever we needed. Great shops and restaurants in minutes. Would love to come back.

Photos do not do this place justice. It’s so nice I think it was my favorite part of New Orleans. Kitchen had plenty of extras for food prep. Rooms were large and everything was very clean. Beds were very comfy. Closet was big enough To put an air mattress in so my 13 year old had privacy. Location was great. Street noise was not a problem. Owner was very easy to work with. We would definitely come back here.

Definitely large and spacious as advertised. Huge bedrooms, living spaces, bathrooms and closets. Could not have had a better experience over a busy New Year's Eve and Sugar Bowl weekend. Perfect for two couples. Will definitely return.
Awesome apartment in a super area
This apartment is absolutely wonderful...huge, huge bedrooms, full baths, full kitchen, laundry, living room - I was VERY impressed. Owner is very helpful and makes sure you are having no issues. He is honest - in the listing, it says that it is an older building and the insulation isn't the greatest - the issue is the windows. This came into play ONLY with the noise outside from the very busy street scene. Air conditioning and heat were awesome. However, there are 'white noise' machines thoughtfully placed in each bedroom. You are right on Magazine Street, walking distance from all the wonderful Garden District houses. Restaurants were very close by, and it only took 10 minutes driving to be at the French Quarter...5 minute walk to the streetcar.
The home was very nice. The home was in a great location for shopping and dining out.
Duncan the owner was very friendly, helpful and easily accessible if we needed him. We enjoyed our stay in his home and look forward to returning to New Orleans in the future. The house is in a great location and is a quick walk to shopping and some very good restaurants in the area.
At least a dozen restaurants, two coffee shops, a bank, a grocery store, a pharmacy, and many boutique shops are within the three block radius from this apartment. There is unlimited free street parking in the next block from the apartment (an easy walk), and 2 hour daytime parking on the block where the apartment is located.
