Beach Front Villa with Pool in Calis Beach, Fethiye, Turkey - With On-site Spa, Turkish Bath, Pools, Restaurant, Bar, Children's Play Area and Much More
About Ann Braham
I live in the UK with my husband and 3 children (14 year-old triplets) and our Bichon Frise – a little white bouncing bundle of a dog. We used to live for many years just North of London but have recently moved to South Wales – beautiful countryside. We have spent many happy summers in Turkey and love the country and the people. They’re so friendly and family oriented.
Ann Braham purchased this Villa in 2009
Why Ann Braham chose Fethiye
The countryside around Fethiye is stunning. The Taurus Mountains give a brilliant backdrop to the unspoilt coastline. The Turkish Government has designated the area a national park and building can now no longer take place on the actual coast. This makes this property an invaluable location being right on the beach. The complex is within easy reach of Calis's many restaurants and shops. The market town of Fethiye, with its bustling market and indoor bazaar, and local beauty spots such as Olu Deniz (the Blue Lagoon in all the tourist brochures) are just a short minibus (dolmus) ride away. You can visit ancient tombs, stunning gorges, eclectic bazaars or great beaches.
What makes this Villa unique
Its great location right on the beach ensures that you can sit watching the sea, with its wonderful sunsets, while sipping a cool beer in your own villa and watching the kids in the pool. So everyone can relax… And if the sun gets too much you can 'veg' in front of the plasma. The many facilities on site – Wellness Centre, Turkish Baths, swimming pools, restaurant, bar, private beach, mini-market, weekly entertainment… ensure that you can be as active or chilled as you like. You can dine on site or go exploring. Turkey has some extraordinary history and culture so one tip – don’t rush.

Lovely villa in a great complex
We recently stayed in this property with 2 families of 4, 2 grandparents and an auntie. The kids were aged 4,3,2 and 2. The villa was great for all of us, with the private pool just the right size for the kids.
The villa is part of a bigger complex which had several bigger pools and there was also a bar which served drinks and food. Mohammed and his team behind the bar were excellent and looked after us for the 2 weeks. The food was decent and it could also be taken back to the villas which was a good option.
There was also a shop on site which more than covered the basics.
The on-site Spa was also excellent.
Calis Beach itself was great, with plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. It is an easy 15-20 minute walk to reach the other end of Calis Beach, although the local buses that run very frequently were also a great option and only cost 3L (50p) a time and you could stay on all the way to Fethiye if you wanted.
The beach was quite pebbly/rocky so wasnt golden sands, but this was probably the only downside.
I would definitely recommend staying here.
Great to hear you had a good time. It's a brilliant place to chill with the family isn't it - it keeps everyone happy so mum & dad or Auntie & Gran can relax as well.
All the Best
Villa exceeded all our expectations. It included everthing you could possibly need for an amazing holiday. Staff were friendly, trips out very reasonable - we will definitely return. Lebrentals was really helpful and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.
Great to hear you enjoyed your stay. Its good to know that Turkey is still a great family destination for a holiday with friendly people, a great standard of accommodation, lots to do and of course brilliant sunshine!!!
We stayed here towards the end of the summer holidays last year and had such a fantastic time we've booked again for this year! Our children were 9 and 7. The villa is superb, having it's own pool, plus the main pools in the complex; you can mingle and socialise and then go back to your own villa and while you're getting ready to go out in the evening, the kids can still enjoy the water right outside!! Ann was brilliant to deal with, and nothing was too much trouble. The on-site people are also very helpful, and there is a little shop on site that sells the essentials. The area is beautiful, we stayed local the first week then hired a car for the second to go further afield. I cannot recommend this villa/area highly enough. Roll on summer 2016!!!!
Many thanks - its great to know you had a such a good time.
Excellent Villa and location
We were a group of 8 from 8 to 80. Great communication with Ann from the start, the villa is in a lovely quiet location but not to far from anywhere. Easy to get around. The villa has everything you need and more, especially the pool !! I couldn't get the children out. There is enough space for everyone. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.
Felicity - It was great to hear you and your friends and family enjoyed themselves. We love the villa and are always pleased when other people do as well. The pool is great isn't it - especially first thing on a morning when the kids want top be up-and-at-it and all the adults want is a cup of coffee and to wake up gradually. Its also brilliant when you come back from a trip and just want to dunk to get cool.
It was a pleasure dealing with you as everything was done on time and simply with the minimal of fuss. You know where we are for next time.
All the Best
Excellent Family Villa
Our party comprised 8 adults & 3 kids. We stayed in May 2011. The villa was fantastic, with enough room for everyone. The villa is furnished to a high standard and Anne (the owner) was great to deal with when we booked. Her site agent in Calis, Mustafa was a total gent, who helped whenever we needed him. We took Anne's private airport transfers & these were great, no waiting on a large coach.
The villa is ideal for families; however the road leading to & from Calis is dark at night, with no street lighting. The local taxis are cheap though and this overcame the problem.
If eating out then “Bella Mama’s” Italian on the front is a must, the food is great!
The Sunset beach complex is very good, but the supermarket is more expensive than those in town, so shop around to find best value.
Overall we had a great holiday and would not hesitate to recommend this villa to anyone.
You won't be disappointed.
It's brilliant when someone has the same response to the villa that we have when we're there. We love it & the kids can't wait to get back there. The whole Dalgleish Clan were a pleasure to deal with.
Everything Ann said it was
Just got back and had to email straight away, to say a big Thank You. The Villa is beautifull, Turkey is wonderful, Mustafa the Management man is a star, very helpful, he is a credit to you and to Turkish people, and all the staff on the complex are very very nice. We had a great time and will definately be booking to return.
It was a pleasure dealing with Sandra. She was very courteous, everything was sent in on time and the villa was cared for really well.
Oyster Villa 8 is right by the beach and just a short walk from the many bars, shops and restaurants in Calis. The Dolmus station is next to the complex so there is easy access to all local towns and villages. The charming market town of Fethiye with its bustling harbour and excellent restaurants is 10 minutes drive or 15 minutes by water taxi. While Olu Deniz, with its world famous Blue Lagoon, is just 30 minutes away. Both offer a range of boat trips - the 12 Islands is very picturesque.
Dalaman airport is approximately 45 mins. Transfers can be arranged prior to arrival. Car hire is not essential unless you're one of those adventurous people that wish to explore some of the many extraordinary sites Turkey has to offer. Car hire plus a full trips itinerary is available at the complex.
Sunset Beach Club is situated in Calis Beach and everything is within a short walking distance. Fethiye, 15 minutes by Dolmus or Water Taxi, is set in a beautiful bay surrounded by the pine clad Taurus Montain range. This breathtaking scenery is now protected by the government and continues down the coast to the famous Olu Deniz Blue Lagoon, where daredevil paragliders happily jump off the mountain and glide down to the warm sands. For the more sedate among us the craft market there is a must.
The combination of stunning scenery, numerous ancient sites and miles of beautiful beaches makes the south coast of Turkey one of the most popular destinations for discerning travellers. With its wonderful weather with average temperatures in summer of 30+C, in spring and autumn a balmy 24C, and even in winter the temperature rarely falls below 10C and often reaches 15C making this an all year round destination.
There are many things to do: For the cultural amongst us - the ancient sites of Ephesus, Patara, Xanthos or the Lycian tombs of Dalyan with its ‘therapeutic’ mud baths offer hours of fascination. For shear staggering natural scenery – the Saklikent Gorge or Blue Lagoon at Olu Deniz are well worth a visit. Even a visit to the extraordinary Pamukkale ‘Cotton Castle’ waterfall cascade a little further away is awe inspiring.
For the adventurous there’s paragliding from Olu Deniz’s fantastic Babadag Mountain or scuba diving off the coast virtually anywhere. For pure fun why not try your hand at wind surfing, waterskiing or parasailing.
Or for the more relaxed amongst us why not try one of the many boat trips from Fethiye harbour, the 12 Islands cruise is one of my favourites, but you can also visit Rhodes on a day trip. One must-do trip is a visit to Fethiye’s Tuesday market – if you’re prepared to haggle you should come away with a bargain or two. Its great fun and the Turkish people will enjoy it too and if you don’t find what you need there, Fethiye’s bazaar – open everyday – has a huge range of eclectic Turkish and tourist artefacts.
Fethiye’s night life is always an attraction of the younger generation and the landmark laser beam of the bazaar disco can be seen for miles against the evening sky. If, like most of us, you simply want to sip your beer or wine in the warmth of the sun and watch the world go by then Turkey is for you.
