About Ana Maria Moreno Villena
Hello, It's Sebastián and Ana María, the owners of Las Piedras. We have two sons and a daughter, the eldest has got his university degree, the elder is working, and Ana Cristina, the author of this text, wants to study Translation because she really likes languages. We have built a little paradise for tourists who stay in our beautiful Andalusian village with our own hands. We started building the villa in 2005 and it was finished three years later for the enjoyment of our guests. Sebastián is a good connoisseur of our Natural Park, and has published the bilingual book "Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama (Parque natural)" to make known some beautiful and in some cases unreachable corners, the beauty of our landscapes, flora and fauna. We are looking forward to your visit.
Ana Maria Moreno Villena purchased this Villa in 2008

Beautiful Villa but not for everyone
The villa is as described. Just the right amount of space for a couple. Once you get yourself there it is lovely and peaceful with fantastic views. It is quite isolated and the drive in and out is harrowing. You will want to be a very confident and competent driver. It is a one way track on a ridge with shear drops. I am confused about all the prior reviews saying how wonderful the owners were. While they did meet us for the drive up to the villa (no one would ever find it if they didn't), they stayed for only a few minutes and provided almost no information. There was also no instructions left in the villa. We had no idea what to do with garbage, how to run the washing machine, TV & dishwasher etc. Other than an email telling us they would be by once to clean the pool we never heard from them again. This was disappointing as I like to get tips for local restaurants & activities from the owners. While it is a small thing, I was surprised that there was no laundry detergent and almost no toilet paper. The kitchen supplies were OK but they really need a decent bread knife and the coffee pot barely worked and is falling apart.
We loved the town of Frigliana and enjoyed the walk there. You will see horses, goats, oxen along the way in addition to flowers of many kinds everywhere. There are many excellent restaurants in town and the bar El Cerro down the road from the villa offers good food and a warm welcome.
Beautiful, comfortable and homely
We totally loved our stay at las piedras. The villa is well equipped, with views that blew us away. Ana Maria is a super hostess who is rightly proud of what she has achieved with this super holiday home. There are many terraces to enjoy the outstanding views with a superb barbecue area and outside loo. It’s a nice walk from the villa into town although you would need a reasonable level of fitness as it does involve some steep climbs. The surrounding countryside is simply stunning. We really cannot wait to return
A peaceful retreat
We loved our stay in this perfect isolated house very well equipped during our 2 weeks in January. The owners thought about all the details to ensure enjoyable stay without any worries. We enjoyed taking our breakfast every morning on the terrace with fresh orange juice overlooking outstanding sea and mountains views. For our check in the owners picked us up and completed a full tour of the house. They answered all our questions and gave us recommendations for things to do in the area. I don’t see any points to complain or improve about this rental house and we’d love to come back.
Clean, cozy with a view to die for!
A lovely cozy casa for 2 with one of the best views I have ever enjoyed.
My only complaint is we had to provide our own hand soap for the bathroom and buy our own toilet paper and garbage bags. We asked to be restocked after we took out our garbage and were advised that the first bag was “complimentary”.
We did have a lovely bowl of fresh avocados and mangos provided for us which we enjoyed very much.
The most beautiful villa and views, our best holiday
Did not want to leave Las Piedras, Sebastian and Ana Maria have done an amazing job with this outstanding villa, the attention to detail is amazing and they have thought of everything, our best holiday ever, we do not think we would find anywhere that could beat which is why we have booked up to return next
Thank you Sebastian and Ana Maria xx
