Why Shen Smith chose Vail
The area is breathtaking, and the snow is unquestionably the best of any resort in the area! When we saw this condo, we knew we had to have it. Everything from the location to the amenities to the styling was absolutely perfect. It is unbelievably fast and easy to get onto the slopes, and the level of comfort and luxury surpasses our desires for a warm, beautiful mountain getaway only 2 hours from Denver.'

The condo is comfortable on the top floor with a great view. The best part is the shuttle that goes to and from the ski area and the ski lockers. The kitchen could use some updates on the pots and pans. The non-stick ones were very scratched up and none of them had the proper lid. FYI there is no coffee maker, just a keurig and a little adapter to put coffee grounds. There was also a leak from the ceiling into the downstairs bathroom. I called the owner about it, but they didn't try to come in and fix it while we were staying there. It didn't affect our stay much. We would stay here again for sure.
Yearly Ski Trip
What an awesome place to stay for a ski trip up in Vail. My friends and I go on a annual ski trip and we elected Vail this year. This condo in the Simba Run complex, met all of our needs. Private shuttles to and from the mountain/town as well as great amenities to rejuvenate the body after a long day on the slopes. Highly recommend this to anyone planning a ski trip to Vail in the future.
Property was good
Owner was very responsive and helpful. The unit was just average- upscale is a stretch. It suited our needs and the shuttle service made the location work well for us. Note, we were not able to get a lyft or uber at 11pm one night from Lionshead Village , there are taxis from the other village. Only issues were minor - lower shower has leak/drywall damage and the sofa sleeper and chair are due to be replaced. They look fine but are worn out. You can feel the springs in the chair and the sofa sleeper cushions were too soft and slopping towards the front. Fan was dirty. Only other comment is everything including the deposit was charged when I booked it 4 month in advance. Having to pay interest on or covering a deposit for 4 months was not good business in my opinion, especially when they took my credit card again at check in for any incidentals.
Nice condo. Great location with use of shuttle.
Enjoyed staying. Hope to come again. Great amenities.
Don't rent this unit! Broken appliances, poor ventilation, no gas grill as promised.
The windows in this condo barely open which creates a hot box with poor ventilation. If you are heat sensitive like me you will be sorry. It was almost 90 outside and. there is no air conditioning. The bedroom windows only open 2 inches. It would have been nice to at least have a fan for the room since there was no overhead fan in the bedroom .
There are crank out windows throughout the condo, none of which open more than two inches. There are large fixed windows that don't open. The only one that opens is the living room slider. We could not sleep at all because it was so hot inside even though the nights were nice and cool . Being able to open windows is just something one assumes can be done.
Lots of other things wrong with this unit too.
There is a great deal of Highway Road noise from out on the tiny deck. The deck is too small for a family to sit out on and enjoy.
The Keurig coffee maker didn't work so we couldn't even have our coffee in the morning. The oven was broken too. Even though it got slightly warm it never went above 200degrees so we couldn't bake any food. The food just sat in the oven and never cooked.
Common things were missing too like not having lids for the frying pans, no metal spatula,, only plastic ones. There were no tissues in the condo. It would have been nice to have a serving tray to carry our food up from where the gas grill really was, seemed, like a half mile away. The ad didn't say that. The condo advertised a gas grill outside on the large deck but , there was none with the unit as we were led to think. We had to go down to the pool area to cook our food. The propane was empty on one of the two grills.
My advice to you is to not rent this unit. It was a very nice condo but for me these issues were just too aggravating.
Great location, clean, lots of Windows, roomy.
this place worked really well for us. Close to hiking, the Villages, free parking, access to the gym. The unit was clean, spacious and stocked with everything needed ample linens, tvs, a Keurig, laundry and balcony.
