The large lounge/dining room has comfortable seating for 6, Wi-Fi, Internet TV/DVD and a separate dining area. A spacious main balcony, accessed from both the lounge and kitchen, is furnished with a table and chairs for 'alfresco' dining. There is also a small private balcony off the master bedroom with table and chairs. Why Ian & Sue chose Falfeira
We love Portugal and find the people genuinely friendly. It feels safe, has a great climate with 300+ days of sunshine each year, and has a wide range of places to visit. There are regular, reasonably priced charter flights from the UK and only a two and a half hour flight with a choice of airlines After visiting many towns on the Algarve looking for somewhere to buy we fell in love with Lagos almost instantly, and felt “at home” there.

Excellent communication prior to booking with Ian and Sue, answered queries etc.
Had contact details for agent who met us promptly at McDonalds on the outskirts of town and then convoyed to apartment block. Sonia lovely lady very welcoming and helpful in showing us around apartment, carparking, pool, gym etc. Did have to call her once during stay had problem with washing machine but even though it was a Sunday and probably her day off, came immediately and also recruited a colleague to deal with the problem.
Apartment block has two lifts and this apartment is on 2nd floor, no views but we knew this from description but still pleasant to sit out and area quiet nearby but maybe that's because it was February. The apartment itself is immaculately clean and well equipped with plenty of crockery, cutlery and utensils. All appliances easy to use and clear instructions available if needed.
Bedrooms large and plenty of storage space and decent hairdryer available. Bathroom ensuite quite small but adequate but shower room larger, only downside for us a party of 6 women was we had to coordinate showers as limited hot water available.
Living area gorgeous and really comfortable, DVD's available and had movie night one evening. Plus great selection of channels on TV.
Indoor pool and Jacuzzi used and good changing and shower facilities available downstairs, gym not very good.
Supermarket virtually next door but need to know where it is as not easier identified as entrance around the corner.
Town, shops, restaurants and marina all in walking distance, plenty to chose from. Walked to the fort and admission only 3 euro/1.5euro and well worth the money, the day we went the waves were magnificent so spent ages up on the top looking out to sea. Beautiful beaches also at that end of town with caves, rocks etc for exploring. Went on a fantastic grotto trip with Days of Adventure 12.5 euros for 1hr 15 mins trip but well worth the money and lovely guy as skipper.
Took a drive to Praia de Luz not much there but again rock formation and cliffs interesting and had lovely albeit very slow meal at Fortaleza. Beautiful venue inside and out. Apparently do jazz Sunday brunch from March to October.
Having looked at many villas/apartment prior to our stay, was so pleased with my choice and absolutely excellent value for money. Hired a car from the airport and drive only 45 mins away and very easy route, underground parking available that was convenient.
Quinta das Palmeiras
The apartment was spotless, clean and spacious. Five of us were staying and there was plenty of room. Everything you'd need home from home. The agent Sonya was extremely helpful answering any questions we had when we arrived and during our stay. You can't see much from the apartment itself but everything is in walking distance, Lagos is a lovely town and the beach is beautiful. The patio where the pool is was a real suntrap, no shade and the pool is more to cool off not really suitable for swimming but the apartment is great as a base for a trip to Lagos. We did a couple of excursions which can be booked at the nearby hotel Marina de Lagos. We had a very relaxing holiday and would love to come back again

There are so many lovely interesting sandy beaches in the Algarve that you will be sure to find some to suit you. They vary from the small sheltered coves to long stretches of sea washed sand. Less than 15 minutes walk from the apartment are the fabulous Meia Praia - 5km of golden sand with every facility you could ask for, and the quieter town beach at Praia da Batata. A further 7 beaches are within easy reach, many of which are served by the local road train.
The nearest airport is Faro, 80km away. The new A22 motorway will get you to the apartment in approximately 50 minutes. Faro is served by many flights every day from several UK airports and other European cities. Transfers to your apartment can be by taxi, airport shuttle or hire car (see owners website for more details). Once you are at the apartment a car is not necessary as everything is within a short walk. If you plan to explore further afield you may wish to hire a car.
The historical town centre of Lagos is just a 7 min walk away. The marina with its waterfront bars and restaurants is a 5 min walk across the pedestrian bridge. Supermarket less than 5 min walk. Bus and coach station 3 min walk for transport to many of the attractions of the Algarve. Other places of interest a short drive away include Silves and Sagres with castles, cathedrals and Gothic buildings, and the traditional village of Monchique with its spectacular mountain views.
Lagos is the hidden gem of the Algarve! Protected by its 16th century walls, this picturesque town retains its old-world Portuguese charm. A fine selection of restaurants offering international cuisine, pavement cafes and stylish boutiques line the maze of cobbled streets. There is a superb fresh fish market, with fruit and vegetables for sale on the upper level.
During the summer there are all forms of water sports including water-skiing, banana boats, para-sailing and other excitements for all the family. For those who prefer things a little quieter, sailing trips run daily from Lagos Marina. Boat trips are also available to view the grottos and sea caves, or to go Dolphin watching out at sea. To see dolphins close-up why not visit ZooMarine where you can even swim with them!
Out of season the Western Algarve is a quiet, tranquil place - ideal to 'get away from it all'. The surrounding beaches, cliffs and countryside are ideal for those who like to walk, bird watch, photograph, and enjoy the delights of nature.
