Villa Bella is a modern, two bedroom two bathroom villa in Kisla, a popular peaceful area of Kalkan. A fantastic location just metres from the sea. A complete home from home, ideal for small families, couples or friends holidaying together.

The villa has the most fantastic sea views across the bay and offers many vantage points from where to enjoy them, including the pool terrace and balconies. The identical neighbouring villa was featured in 'The Times 20 Best Seaside Villas in Europe'.

Villa Bella sleeps 4 in one double and one twin bedroom both with an en-suite bathroom. The Villa is extremely well equipped with the best quality fixtures, fittings and furniture. It offers a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable lounge complete with 40" LCD Smart TV with some international news and sports channels and many Turkish channels. A DVD player and a Radio/CD player are also available. There is a good selection of books and DVDs, but you can bring your own tablet/I-pad and HDMI cable for unlimited possibilities. Other amenities include air-con throughout, free unlimited wireless internet access, washing machine, dishwasher and hair dryer.

Surrounded by fruit and palm trees in intimate gardens the pool terrace with sunbeds, shaded seating, alfresco dining and BBQ areas makes an excellent place to relax in, spot the odd dolphin or turtle, or just enjoy the wooden gullet boats gliding by. At the end of the day enjoy the magnificent sunset with a glass of wine. If you manage to drag yourself away from Villa Bella, there are a handful of bars and restaurants, where good quality food is served. Kisla also has 2 popular beach clubs for swimming, snorkeling & watersports. The Mahal beach club, with one of the ten best views of the world (Sunday Times), is a 3 minute walk. For a wider choice of shops, restaurants (120!) and bars Kalkan is a 5 minutes ride by sea or road or a 20 mins walk. In the season there is a ‘free’ water-taxi shuttling between Kisla beach club and Kalkan harbour.

Lovely villa and great stay

We had an amazing time at the Villa Bella. The landlord Frenk was so helpful prior to us arriving making sure that we had all the information we needed prior to getting there. He even took the time to ring me to make sure all was set up and I knew what I needed to do. We had a couple of issues at the villa that were completely our fault like locking ourselves out of the villa one day and our transfer to the airport. Muhammet the property manager was extremely quick and helpful at resolving the issues. The villa is perfect and the pool and view are amazing. You're close enough to the town (a £2 taxi or short boat trip from a nearby hotel) but far enough to be away from the busy town in the evening. I would 100% come back to Villa Bella.

We are Lisette and Frenk. We are Dutch and presently live in Amsterdam. We like to travel around the world. We lived and worked many years abroad in countries in Africa, South Asia and the Americas. We searched in Europe for three years for a holiday home and accidently decided to have a look in Turkey. We found our piece of paradise in Kalkan, a seaside village with a wonderful atmosphere and a tropical feel..

Why they chose this property

Kalkan is magical. The centre still resembles the Greek village it used to be long time ago. People are friendly and hospitable. Villa Bella is situated in the area called Kisla. Its a quieter spot than in the lively centre of Kalkan yet near enough for easy access by free water taxi across the bay during day in the main season (May to October), by taxi or by a 20 minutes easy stroll along the seaside.

What makes this property unique

The most important characteristic of the villa is the open view over the Kalkan Bay and the hills on the opposite side. The neighbouring, identical villa was amongst the 20 best seaside villas according to the Sunday Times in 2010. There are two beach clubs only minutes walking from Villa Bella, almost on the same level which is unusual for Kalkan. The Mahal beach club was chosen to have one of the ten best views of the world.
