About Jennifer Allen

This log cabin was completely customized, sourced, and furnished as a place for our far-flung family to gather and reconnect. We hail from Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, and even Indonesia!

Since we cannot use it as much as we would like, we enjoy making it available to you, your friends, and your family to do the same. We love to read our Guest Journals to hear exactly what you did, and enjoyed during your trip!

Daughter, Jennifer, who previously owned a large and very popular lodging business in the area, is thrilled to offer this single cabin to you in a very personal, loving, and customer-oriented manner. With help from friend, and long time co-worker, Ashley, the two are dedicated to providing you with all that you expect and more!! :)

Jennifer Allen purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Jennifer Allen chose Ohio

This cabin is literally at the end of a lane, and affords privacy while being close to the Park Areas and other activities in the area.

What makes this cabin unique

Both Jennifer and Ashley are crazy animal lovers, and Jennifer's last venture was a Dog Walking and Pet Sitting business. Guestbook comments from the owner

Just spent three wonderful days at The Lodge - beautiful decor and scenery! Wonderful to relax on the porches and view the many well-stocked bird/critter & hummingbird feeders. Entire stay was relaxing & rejuvenating, in upscale woodsy accommodations. Especially appreciated being able to bring our dog & cat. Location near the Hocking Hills parks, plus other fun places to visit. Enjoyed campfires at the fire ring area, watching bats and stars. Quiet and peaceful, with all the amenities. Thank you for sharing your lovely home and experience!

We love relaxing with our family at the Lodge at Lane's End

  • 5 of 5

Tranquil weekend retreat. Beautiful, quiet, clean, updated and comfortable. One of my favorite spots to reconnect with family. Screened in back porch is peaceful and great for bird watching. Plenty of space for my five children (23 yrs+) to relax together or to enjoy individual solitude. Great fire ring & hot tub. We love to chat with Cecil & buy our firewood. Grandma Faye's is super cute & convenient for shopping.

Perfect getaway for couple or family

  • 5 of 5

I expended two nights before Xmas with the whole family, grandparents, aunt, uncle, my wife and kids and it the size of the house it was so perfect for 6 adults and 2 kids. My daughter loved the small room with toys and my 3 months old son made a good use of pack & play crib for sleeping.

The house in right in the woods and the view from the deck and hot tub is so beautiful, especially during sunset. The kitchen and living room made the cabin really cozy and the whole family felt like Xmas evening time.

I would like to return again in the future.

Beautiful getaway cabin in the Hocking Hills

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for our daughters graduations weekend from Ohio University. It is about a 50 minute drive to Athens, but a very scenic drive on route 56. The cabin is all that you need to enjoy your stay. The hot tub is located under a roof which keeps the rain off. The outdoor firepit is really great for relaxing and enjoying conversation. The cabin has two bedrooms on the main floor and one large bedroom loft upstairs. The best feature is the wrap around deck with plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy their own space. The kitchen is well stocked and the owner is very accomodating to those with pets. Conkles Hollow is just minutes away with an excellent three mile hiking trail.

I booked this beautiful lodge for a weekend with my family to celebrate my parents' 40th anniversary. The owners were so helpful in answering all of my questions. The lodge is absolutely gorgeous and secluded; we didn't want to leave! We definitely want to stay there again in the future!

A Little Bit of Paradise

  • 5 of 5

It was a family get away for Thanksgiving- cozy enough to be together and room enough to have our own space- extremely clean and we could tell that a lot of love and care goes in to the upkeep of this cabin-had everything we needed- from towels to supplies to extras-had younger children who enjoyed the upstairs toys- we all enjoyed all the stocked games and movies- hot tub and fireplace were the big hits- close to hiking- but very secluded- fire pit and grill and enclosed back porch are great- best place we have ever stayed at Hocking- we will be back- can't say enough good things- only suggestion would be a cover over the wood pile on the front porch - thanks for your hospitality

Beautiful Vacation Home Hocking Hills

  • 5 of 5

Our "girls getaway" could not have been in a better place. As very particular women regarding cleanliness and nice surroundings the Lodge exceeded all our expectations! Our only regret was that we that we hadn't booked for longer. Very peaceful setting and short drives to all the beautiful sites in Hocking Hills. Would definitely recommend
