Perfect, didn't want to leave!
Beautifully presented villa of exceptional quality of furnishings for an upmarket yet cosy feel. The views every morning were stunning, village sweet and has everything you need whether you want to eat out or cook at the villa. Amanda visiting the first full day was nice and it was good to have some extra information if we wanted to explore which was our intention but with only a weeks holiday we ended up chilling to the max and having to force ourselves to venture out. The outside kitchen and dining/seating area was a big pull for us when we viewed all villas we liked, this one was great! We would recommend a jeep like car to manage the long rocky track as every time we took our hire car out we winced when we heard a noise in case of sudden damage from rocks to the underside! We did get woken at 7am Sunday morning by a bulldozer close and clearly another villa is going to be built soon so I would consider that build noise if we wanted to book the villa again in 2018. Having all towels and good bed linen provided and changed during our stay was excellent, the robes came in handy after we had jumped into the pool a couple of times- October isn't the best season for unheated pool dipping unless you are very young and don't feel the cold but it was fun nonetheless! Superb laundry area in the cellar which was a reminder that you don't need to pack so much when facilities like this are at your fingertips. A wonderful villa and situated in a fabulous position, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend either of the villas to others. Kefalonia is beautiful and I know we will be back to the island for sure - especially as we didn't visit the caves or get to hire a local boat etc. Do pack good quality mosquito repellent and if you can citronella tea lights as you may not see the blighters but you feel their bites later on! We did buy and leave a fly swat too for persistent wasps but it's just as we have experienced in other Mediterranean countries. Go, enjoy, you won't be disappointed! Fantastic Villa, fabulous stay
We had a lovely time staying in this gorgeous villa in October. The Villa is beautifully kept, with everything you could possibly want. The views are stunning, particularly the sunrise. We will all hopefully be back sometime in the future.
Fantastically well- equipped villa in a wonderful setting
Me and my partner had the most relaxing holiday ever at Villa Phivos. It is situated so that you get hillside and sea views from all of the balconies and seating areas, the view down to the harbour from the top balcony is amazing. There was a welcome hamper on our arrival consisting of wine, honey, jam, biscuits etc plus a loaf of fresh bread and a bowl full of fresh fruit, a truly wonderful gesture. The maid and pool man were very polite and the Villa and grounds were kept tidy and clean. The Villa is only 10 minutes from Myrtos beach, 5 minutes drive to Agia Efimia, 15 from Assos and it only took half an hour back from Fiskardo so is situated in a perfect position for exploring the best (Northern) part of the island. We enjoyed the outside seating area and had BBQs every other night, again everything is supplied along with towels, parasols for the beach even a cool bag so we picnicked for breakfast on Myrtos beach and stayed till the sun set. We enjoyed it so much we have vowed to return, hopefully longer than 2 weeks as it simply wasn't long enough!,
Thank you very much for your nice words. it is very important hearing the opinion of our visitors. I look forward welcoming you again soon. Phivos
How much did we like the villa .... well we LOVED IT !!!!!
We stayed for 10 days at the beginning of September and can honestly say it has been one of the nicest villas we have stayed in.
Things that made it so perfect :-
The peace and tranquillity
The location is amazing
Spotlessly clean throughout - inside and out
Fantastic outside kitchen area
Fantastic music system for the inside and out.
Pool cleaned every day
Phivos the owner was very prompt and helpful in all his emails from the beginning of our enquiry to after the holiday and checking that we had a good time and if there is anything he can improve.
The agent came round to introduce herself on our second day and made sure we were happy and that if we had any problems or just questions in general about anything to please ring her, after that we were left in blissful peace.
Our only concern was the track up to the villa and if there was going to be any damage to the underside of our hire car, or if the car hire company picked up that we had been driving " off road" neither if these things ended up to be a problem. But if the track could be smoothed out so taxis would come up to the villa so one of us didn't have to drive when going out in the evening that would be amazing.
All in all its definatly a 10/10 if the track was improved or a lovely taxi company found that would drive all the way up could be found it would be a 11/10 from us !!!!
Definitely want to return next year.
Thank you very much for your nice words. it is very important hearing the opinion of our visitors. I look forward welcoming you again soon. Kind regards,
Great location for all of kefalonia. Stunning island, wonderful villa- beautiful scenery
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The pool was refreshing and clean. Wonderful to have so many extras included, washing machine, hair dryer, beach towels.. it means we had to pack less. The tiny coves in Agia Efimia were clean and safe and a beautiful place to cool off- just remember your beach shoes!
A perfect happy holiday
Fantastic property for a week of relaxing- but be out on time.
We loved our time at villa- the decor is beautiful, the beds incredibly comfortable and the pool shallow enough to be perfect for the whole family. We really appreciated the extra touches- the cot for our baby, the welcome hamper, and the speed at which Phivos responded when we needed more gas for the BBQ. It is the perfect place for serious R&R but you will 100% need a car here if you want to do any exploring- there is lots of beautiful sites to explore within a few miles of the property, but nothing is within comfortable walking distance.
The only slight niggle we had was on our last day, as we were packing the car to leave the villa. It was five past ten in the morning and we received a phone call from local host Amanda telling us that "we should have been out by ten", something she had not stressed when we had seen her the previous day.
Our flight time had been pushed back by Easyjet, we had a small baby to wrangle, and it was not a nice way to end what had been a relaxed trip. Had it been made clear that this was a super strict policy we would have of course ensured we were out on the dot, but we were running ten minutes late, not hours late and so it felt a bit heavy handed.
Shame to have had the overall fantastic experience ended in this way, but it wouldn't prevent us returning.
