About Italian Apartments
We relocated to Italy in 2007 from the Uk and spend our time between Tuscany and Lake Como. By renting your holiday home with us you can be sure of gaining the inside track to the lake and the local's view to ensure you get the very most from your stay and enjoy a personal experience second to none. By staying here with us we can recommend where to eat where the Italians dine, where to a taste wine and show you the hidden places with the locals shop from finding the freshest baked bread to the best markets to the trattoria's where the Italian's dine away from the tourists mass or the very best bar's where the tastiest snacks keep coming with the drink's! If you need to hire a scooter or cycle, find the best hiking routes, or pathways for scenic walks we will point you in the right direction.
Why Italian Apartments chose Buonconvento
We first holidayed here in Buonconvento in 2000 and have been returning ever since. Whatsmore, this home is unique as it is the only farmhouse close enough to walk to the village, just a gentle 10 minutes walk on the flat, where you can swim in the pool and enjoy a drink at night in the village without the need of a car. Hence we have many returning guest.
What makes this Apartment unique
Buonconvento is a gem. Not just recognised as one of Italy's prettiest walled villages but an authentic tuscan village with a unique atmosphere where you can mix freely with the locals twelve months a year. The village does not virtually close down for the winter like many more well known villages. There are countless festivals throughout the spring, summer and autumn, mostly celebrating seasonal produce and delicious local wine and oil where you can join in and feel part of the community immediately! The home is within easy reach of bars, restaurants, shops, mini markets, butchers, deli's, coffee bars and the supermarket all reachable on foot. Buonconvento is served by rail, road and bus. Local sightseeing attractions including Pienza and its pecorino cheese, Bagno Vignoni and its thermal spa where you can dip you toes in the warm water 12 months of the year, Siena with its famous shell shaped piazza and Montalcino close by, the home of Italy's most famous wine..Brunello di montalcino.

Great rustic apartment near a main road
Buonconvento is a great place for a few days south of Siena, in easy reach by car of several small hill-top towns, and with a delightful walled medieval village at its centre. The apartment was fine, although the kitchen small. There was a great pool to relax by, and the host family were most friendly. The welcome included a very sociable cat and expert lessons on the use of the barbecue. The only drawback for some would be the proximity of a fairly busy road which could be noisy.
it is around buonconvento town
the old town is very quiet and lovely
i felt real italy counturyside
and it is very close with train station also
easily go to siena it takes only 25 miniuets

Lovely picturesque rustic Italian property. Great location, offering countryside views, local amenities within short walking distance to excellent cafes, bars and restaurants with train station nearby. Only 20 minutes from the beautiful hilltop towns of Pienza and Montalcino with the stunning city of Sienna just half hour away.
Owners and team are very warm and welcoming and extremely accommodating, They have fantastic knowledge of all areas of Tuscany and are happy to recommended locations to suit all.
Beautiful house in a fantastic location
Beautiful and spacious apartment. Well looked after. We were welcomed by the lovely, friendly and helpful Luisa. House is situated within the picturesque and unspoilt town of Buonconvento which is a perfect base for exploring the magnificent Tuscany region. We visited stunning towns including Bagno Vignoni, Montalcino and Montepulciano. The apartment is so handy for the train to Siena too. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the bars and restaurants of Buonconvento. The local people are very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return.
Great place and so friendly
This is the forth time we have stayed and are going back again next year. The family are so friendly as is the local town. Very few tourists and typically Italian.
All Round Great
Central location for many of Tuscany's beautiful towns. Five minute walk into Buonconvento with a good selection of restaurants. We found the locals in the town very friendly. Luisa and Massimo (the owners) were extremely welcoming. The property is nice and spacious and the pool is great. The garden is also good as there are gates which keep any children from running out.
We went last year, this year and going again next year, can't keep away. Don't want to say any more good things as we want to make sure we can get in -:).
