About Susan Cooke
Hi my name is Susan, I am married to my best friend Jeff and we have two amazing daughters together. We have both lived in Charlotte County all of our lives, we met nearly 30 years ago and started our family together. We are both self employed, we work hard and take pride in our home and also in our rental properties. The home we rent weekly was Jeff's grandparents home where he grew up. The home has many special memories for both Jeff and I and we hope you enjoy your stay with us.
Susan Cooke purchased this House in 1990

Nice place and very comfortabel.
We liked the house, it was in a very quiet location, off the beaten track. Everything we needed was provided.
Had a wonderful time at the cottage! Nice and quiet and few yards from the beach!
Great little house close to Bay of Fundy
My husband and I plus our little dog spent 3 nights here and really enjoyed this small house. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. The area is quiet but it is in a neighborhood. The house seems to have been recently renovated. There is a nice fire pit outside plus a grill on the back deck; the deck has a view of some water. The beds were comfortable. Nice relaxing spot to stay to explore the area. We were able to take walks down to the Bay and see the low and high tides. The house is a short drive to the ferry to Deer Island, which is a nice place to explore. Be sure to get groceries before you get to the house as there are no large grocery stores nearby, but there are some small grocery/convenience stores not too far away. You can get local seafood nearby, plus wild blueberries and some great homemade apple and blueberry pies!
A nice, out of the way place for a good price. A pushed together king (2 twins) and a queen bed upstairs make this place affordable for a couple of couples. You're within striking distance (30-40min drive) of St. Andrews and all that entails. Well equipped kitchen, and a nice backyard patio and fire pit (although we used neither). Just watch you heads on the ceiling if you're tall!
Beautiful, quiet spot on the bay.
The house was just the right size for two couples to enjoy a little vacation. Far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet but close enough to be able to travel to towns and cities and explore.
One of the most spectacular places on earth. Just minutes away from this beautifully renovated character home, you can stop by R&M Fish Shack to view and purchase some of their fresh catches, view live lobsters, stop by WolfHead Smoked Salmon makers and get FRESHLY smoked salmon! Or watch the amazing Bay of Fundy tide come in, or hop to Green's point Lighthouse, just 5 minutes away - and right next to the Deer Island ferry and route to/from Campobello Island, St. George, St. Andrews-by-the-sea, Grand Manan, New River Provincial Park, Saint John, St. Stephen, Calais, the Maine Coastal route - and of course, the Fundy Coastal Route! 1 hr west of the Saint John Airport, 45 minutes west of Saint John, 15 minutes East of Saint Andrews, and 5 minutes from Deer Island. Come visit Saint George and the WILD BLUEBERRIES! Or St. Andrews-by-the-Sea - or any of the notes above, and you'll see what I'm talking about. Just around the corner, there's a kayaking company that will take you on guided tours, and only a few minutes away, the strong little town of St. George - with its blueberries, riverwalk, mill - and of course, easy access to groceries, etc - for your stay. You'll have everything you need close by! Just minutes from the #1 highway you will soon realize you made the right choice in staying with us.
We are approximately a 30 minutes drive along the coast to St. Andrews which has just been voted "Best Destination in Canada" by USA Today. Below was noted in local newspaper
Saint Andrews, N.B., is being recognized by a major American news outlet as the best place in Canada to visit.
"We were, if not the smallest, one of the smallest communities that was chosen for the top 10," said Mayor Doug Naish on Shift NB.
"So, we were already dealing with that disadvantage, but it turned out not to be a disadvantage."
Saint Andrews saw record year in tourism, mayor says
Travel writers for the USA Today Best Destination in Canada contest picked the top-10 places and then the public voted for their favourite, explained Naish.
"Quebec City was probably our main competitor all through the contest," he said.
Quebec's capital city finished in seoond place. Other communities that finished in the top 10 were Lunenburg, N.S., Saskatoon and Montreal.
Naish credited the community for voting in the contest, but also encouraging others to vote for Saint Andrews.
Residents recently learned of the contest victory during a plaque ceremony for the greatest street in the community.
Given that USA Today has a large readership, Naish said that being named the best place to visit should have a positive impact on the community and the region.
"There will be many people, particularly Americans, who may have never heard of Saint Andrews or Charlotte County," he said.
"And now, they will hear about it because it's closer to home in terms of a publication they're familiar with."
