Local guides can provide guided tours of the surrounding countryside once rich in copper and silver deposits. Market Days: Anghiari - Wednesday. Sansepolcro - Tuesday and Saturday. Pieve San Stefano - Monday. Annual Chestnut Festival in Caprese Michelangelo over the last two weekends in October. Anghiari - Costumed festival to celebrate Battle of Anghiari end of June. Throughout the summer a range of musical events take place locally, including dancing under the stars. Throughout October and November a range of local food festivals take place across the region. Through May and June, Pieve San Stefano has a range of a road races - from racing cars to cycling and running.
