Why Marielle Hemingway chose Weymouth
A fabulous area in one of Dorset's most beautiful villages.
What makes this Cottage unique
Proximity to the beach, neighbouring tours including Weymouth and Dorchester. Osmington is nestled in some of England's most beautiful rural landscape; as portrayed in Thomas Hardy novels.

Just what we needed!
Jasmine Cottage was just what we needed, and in truth exceeded our expectations. It was so spacious and clean, and very welcoming and comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped. There was always plenty of hot water and good showers. The stairs are quite steep but didn’t present any problems. Plenty of room for parking off the road.
We had a lovely week in Dorset so thank you for providing such wonderful accommodation. We loved it!
Lovely cottage in tranquil location
This cottage was warm and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. It is attractive from the front, with its thatched roof. The extension at the rear is less in character, although from the inside you wouldn't know. There is an outside table and in sunny weather it would be nice to sit in the garden. Adequate parking for three cars.
We had chosen it particularly because of its downstairs bedroom and bathroom to benefit the aged parents. Having said that, there are still two steps up to the ante-room and another down into the "downstairs" bedroom so not a perfect choice for the less able. The staircases to the upstairs bedrooms are narrow and steep.
At the time of our stay (March), the cottage was lovely and warm and there was a copious supply of hot water. The kitchen diner was light and airy.
We ate a few times in the local pub, the Sly Fox. Only five minutes walk and providing good food and ales although the menu was not extensive. Even so there was something to please everyone.
Some glitch with HomeAway meant that we didn't receive the check-in instructions but a phone call to the owner on arrival soon resolved that. The mobile signal in the village is not good (but once inside the cottage we benefitted from good Wifi)
